Would we trade with the Bombers for the number 1 pick? More to the point, have we got anything.

ESSENDON is open to the possibility of trading its first-round draft selection in exchange for an experienced player or more picks at the draft table.
As it stands, the last-placed Bombers would receive the No.1 selection in this year's NAB AFL Draft.

Defiantly make a call to them - depends what they want for it.

Essendon would require a top 5 player in the AFL and a late first/early second for their pick 1. No club will satisfy that sort of trade. Not even worth talking about.

You guys talk about 1 player as if that would even enter Dodoro's mind. He'd want Wines, Hartlett and our first round pick.

It's just the bombers trying to smoke out who's on the table. Most clubs will ignore it.

Haven't Gold Coast got picks five and 10 or some thing like that? They'll trade this on for pick 1 to use on Bowes

No. Only reason it's on the table is there is no real standout.

Most teams would rather trade down for more picks so it is really the wrong year to look for a team to trade up. They will finish with the pick bar trading for an uncontracted player coming back to vic. Even GC will no longer have any interest in it.

CLASSY Glenelg goalsneak Willie Rioli has been rewarded for shedding 16kg by being invited to showcase his new streamlined physique in front of AFL recruiters in October.

The 21-year-old headlines a group of 18 SANFL players who will be tested physically and mentally at the SA Draft Combine.on October 15.

We did look closely at Willie as a 18 year old. By accounts a terrific kid with great skills Just struggled with his weight as the only knock.

If it was only weight then I'm sure someone would have rookied him and backed their fitness team in your help him.

Maybe it was just pure teenage laziness. Maybe now he really wants it.

Think maybe not so much laziness so much as genetic. Seem to remember some discussion about the family history at the time?

Keen to see what Ladhams, Sweet & Draper can do. Tye Bedford and Steve Slimming as well.
