Jack Graham's highlights show similarity's to Ollie Wines could be a inside mid that can play in 2017.

Do you mean similar to Ollie in respect to his kicking efficiency?

Not sure how many kicks from Jack went direct to an opponent or were just booted long, so I can see the similarities ;). Does get the ball however but would need to work on the kicking side of things.

Apologies for being stalker-ish, but yesterday I noticed this comment on an AFL Facebook post about Jay Schulz:

I wasn't sure if it was the same Tim English being discussed here, so I visited his profile. It was him, and he appeared to be a follower of Port Adelaide. Was that already a known fact?

These highlights reminded me that I'd absolutely love if we picked up Jake Comotigianni with a late/rookie pick.

Also, if we manage to get back into the second round and score Willem Drew, I'd be over the moon with that.

Classy inside mid who although not lightning, is not lacking in pace. Seems a very smart player in terms of positioning and knowing where his teammates are and can go forward.

If Todd Marshall is available at our pick and we don't take him, Geoff Parker should be frogmarched out of the room and sacked on the spot.

He won't be though. I can't see him getting any further than Carlton.

I'm 50/50 on Carlton going for him - they've got Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay waiting in the wings that they spent their last two first rounders on. Plus Jack Silvagni who although ain't big, is a third tall forward. It wouldn't be a bad move by them, but they might also have someone else in their sights and don't see him as an absolute pressing need. Harry McKay in particular is very, very similar to Todd Marshall in terms of play style and athletically.

Edit: He won't get past Richmond though.

Edit 2: Buuuut, Richmond might part ways with their first for Dion Prestia. Gold Coast probably wouldn't take him. That'd mean he'd have to get past Freo and Carlton, because I think Collingwood are pretty happy with Darcy Moore and Mason Cox.

I just watched the highlights of Graham and.... he can't kick. He is big and he really can't kick. He's not going to become a good kick now. His awareness seemed pretty average. Good luck to him but he's not going to be an early pick .

Last year the top of my draft wishlist was bonner and due to the low pick I was over the moon when we picked him up. This year we're keeping our first and my boy is sam petrevski seaton. 99% sure he won't be available at our pick but he's going to be a very good player. I really like josh battle hard worker hard runner which ken loves. People saying don't worry we can pick up KPFs later in the draft im not as confident. In the last 4 years we've picked up Harvey, Shaw, Dougs with dougs being the only afl level worthy player, being such a low pick its a lot of hit and miss I think battle is good enough to go around pick 10 which is what we have. it would sure be better than getting another average 180cm player like ainsworth or mccgrath

Mind you as the Eagles showed last night players that can spread and find space and hit targets at 30 metres along with a solid defensive side to their game are what makes a game plan work. Bonner is going to be a good player and maybe a couple more like him is a good thing. We need depth with these type of players. Warming to the idea of Witherden if he goes well at the draft combine. Was impressed with the Eagles game plan last night I want players with that work ethic who play that style of game.

Eagles have a lot of 190ish cm types, strong bodies who can mark all over the ground. No more hobbits.

I think you can get away with one, maybe two, sub-6 footers if they're strong and have good football nous. But fielding a team with Mitchell, Neade, SGray, Amon etc all at the same time is just asking for trouble.

That's why people are so bullish about our 2014 draft class IMO. At long last we brought in a group of tall, strong, skilled footballers with a little bit of kent in them. Debuting Howard, Austin and Palmer is one of the big positives to take out from this testing season, all three had their moments in the sun and showed us that they're on the right path.

It was like Moses being given a glass of homemade lemonade after 40 years in the desert.

Edit: Impey and DBJ are the sub-6 footers we currently have who really add to the team. Strong, skilled, competitive, they're definitely assests. But that fills our quota.

Although I agree wholeheartedly with your SPS call, I disagree entirely with everything else.

I don't want to take Battle with a top 10 pick. And Ainsworth and McGrath are as far from average as anyone. Ainsworth was touted as a number one pick at the start of the year, with good reason.

Ainsworth is far from average, he is elite and has been highly rated at all levels on his way up. I salivate at the thoughts of Ainsworth, Wingard and Gray in the same forward line.

If we go for an inside mid, then it's Jonty Scharenberg or Willem Drew for me. If we go for a KPF, then Todd Marshall or Patrick Kerr. Hopefully we can get Peter Ladhams or Jordan Sweet as a ruck with a late pick. If we get an inside mid, KPF and ruck out of that group, I'll go off.

I hope we get back into a pick in the second round where we can land a Scharenberg or a Drew, plus Kerr in the third and Ladhams a late pick.

McGrath/Venables/Ainsworth with the first and it's a dream draft for me.

Is there a small foward/ crumber in the state league, we could get later the draft?

With Wingard maybe in the midfield and gray 50/50 .
We really only have Neade

Monfries? Also have Johnson developing if he can get on the park.

Ken is all about us going hard at the 2016 Draft but we currently do not have a second rounder to go hard at. We may well look to trade for a second round pick. Our third round pick and a player for a second round pick may be on the cards. Not sure that we have a marketable player worth the up trade but it is just the sort of obscure deal that gets done around trade time.
