If he there at any 2nd round pick we may trade in then get him - could be gone by our 3rd.
Yep, would grab him with a 2nd rounder if we have one. Would be too big a reach in the 1st round (plus we need a KPF), and will be gone before the 3rd round.

I'm a huge fan of players who consistently rack up big numbers

Sometimes yes they may not pan out as it won't translate but for every big performing junior who doesn't translate to afl it seems there is two big performing juniors who slide that do translate that form to afl.
As long as a prospective inside mid has strong tackle and clearance numbers to go with the disposal count, then I'm a fan.

Anyone seen much of Brennan Cox? Any info on him?

Love him. Good pace off the mark, big leap. Was AA in the U18ss playing at FB but has played some great footy this year for North Adelaides U18s and reserves as a key forward and also in the ruck. I really like him as a key forward. Strong contested mark, good kick for goal. Got some things to work on, but if he's there at our 3rd pick I'd love to grab him.

Clips look ok. What's his height?

Have had a look through his stats and watched the highlights available on youtube; I like him.

Good size (194/90), presumably good agility (basketball background), finds a pretty reasonable amount of the ball at reserves and state level.

What are the negatives at this stage?

I've got queries over endurance and top end speed at this stage, also questions over his agility. His beep test and agility results at draft combine will be interesting to see.

From watching clips (which tell us everything we need to know ;)), his appeared unrushed to dispose the ball. His hand passing in particular was quite measured and not unlike Jackos with an extended backlift. In a faster paced game, he may struggle or he might be one of those enigmas who appears to have more time than most. I like the look of him but do we need his type on our list?

A genuine swing KPP that can read the play both ends, good contested marking and foot skills? Yeah i'd be keen.

Hi guys first post, just thought I'd chip in.

I played a bit with Brennan in highschool in the AHS firsts (was a couple of years ahead of him). Always was a pretty smooth mover with good awareness due to his basketball background and had reasonable skills which have noticeably developed since I last saw him play. Have heard that he has been guaranteed to be drafted in the second round although by which club I do not know.

I think 193 cm is a good enough size for a kp player , out do need the one taller at each end , that's why I like Austin , he's that bit taller and can take the tall forward . Westhoff can drop back for extra heigh and Trengove . Hombsch and Clurey are more around that 193 ( correct me if I'm wrong ) .
If the guy is a genuine back or forward I'd be interested for our second pick .

Tim Membrey is only 188cm.

Sometimes it's not just about outright size, some players can punch a bit above their weight.

Anyone know much about Jake Pitman? Young inside mid playing for Norwood reserves.

Weekend before last He chalked up 22 disposals, 16 contested possessions, nine tackles, eight clearances and four inside 50s for the game.

Pretty good numbers by any standard.

193cm isn't exactly Key position size?
Agree that a swingman would be handy as a future Hoff replacement.

193cm with a big leap is definitely KPP size.

Short, tubby ball magnet. Plays and looks like Roger James.
