Really like Powell-Pepper. I guess there is a concern that he may be another Tapscott, but I think he's a lot more explosive than someone like Tapscott ever was and the scope for him to play good midfield footy is pretty high. I think his poor foot skills are a bit overrated, they aren't as bad as what people make out.

I really like Will Hayward. He has huge potential, great x factor, booming kick, super quick, very agile. If he puts it all together he'll be a player.

I hope we bid on Max Lynch.

what are the thoughts on Will Hayward? watched the highlights of him having 12+ shots on goal in an u18's and it's hard not to get excited when you watch, potential good value?

Also, Max Lynch? Was highly rated earlier in the year coming out of the GWS academy, 200cm/96kg, seems to have disappeared?
I'm not speaking for Macca but I think from memory he, as in Macca, was pretty keen on Lynch!

Todd Marshall (Murray Bushrangers)

Born: 8.10.1998

Height: 198cm

Weight: 87kg

"He's had no base, no preparation, no pre-season and so to do what he's done this year has been quite amazing. He didn't put together the one full game we were after, but he's shown plenty of signs and we know how much talent he has. He's a competitive kid, some of his run-down tackles and work at ground level has been really good and whether he'll end up a top five pick is up for debate but I think he'll end up a very good AFL player. I told the clubs about a month before the end of the season that he was cooked – he's had such a big year off no preparation – but he'll freshen up. He's grown rapidly in the last year – a lot of his junior development was as as midfielder – so he still has plenty of development as a big fella to go."

Just backing up what most people who have been watching him know. No preparation at all before the start of the season. Actually weights a little more than I thought.

I'm keen to maybe use a late pick on Oscar Junker as a utility, which is the best place to take a player where you're not sure where their best position is.
He kicks lots of goals late in games that aren't close.

Macca19 anymore news on Jake Barrett? Does GWS trade him and for what or is he a possibility of being delisted. May as well get you to comment on Steele as well...cheers

Not that ive heard. I dont think barrett will be delisted, hes got value. I think Steele will go to victoria

GWS need to off load at least 7 players to cut their list down enough be able to use 5 picks inside 34 (or whatever there last pick is)

Player like Barrett are definitely in the gun.

Florent, Taranto, Drew or Kerr with 9. Don't bother with anyone else that we can get realistically.

Warming right up to Florent. Just on the basis he's more likely to hurt on the scoreboard and most likely improve in a more positive less distressing environment next season. To finish off the season as well as he has says plenty about his character. Saints may take him before us but he fills an obvious need he would be hard to go past.
