At the game I liked Slimming

I think this draft is gonna be a really good one. Not much in the way of talls but a lot of good footballers.

Spewing we're without our second round pick, would love to get back into the first/second rounds for another pick.

Of all the key forwards, so far Patrick Kerr has impressed me the most, although he doesn't seem to be high up on draft boards.

Todd Marshall didn't go near it today, except for kicking the best goal of the day. Pure X Factor - amazing athlete it seems.

Liked him on TV, too. Very hard runner and shows a lot of composure (at least compared to others).

I have my own selfish reasons for wanting Port to pick him up.

The last few games haven't really changed our likely finishing position. We're still looking at 9th or 10th, the only thing has gone is a realistic, or even unrealistic shot at the 8. So that's pick 9 or 10 under the old system but with the academies it could be two or three higher. Please can we go for some kind of tall midfielder, so many of our games look like boys against men.

Is there any reason Dylan Clarke isn't rated higher on the draft boards? He's been in the best players for metro every game, gets heaps of contested football, clearances and has a footballer's frame.

who's everyones #1 draft target ? Don't see a lot of the U18s..

How highly does everyone rate Jonty Sharenburg ?

my draft target is some one tall (and some one who can play as either a forward / ruck) we need several tall players (forwards / rucks) especially since we have delisted Shaw, Harvey and there is question marks about Butcher and Schulz

here is my picks (for some were in with our draft picks)

(1) Todd Marshall | Key Forward Murray Bushrangers - 197cm/87kg
(2) Luke Strnadica (WA – KPF/RUC) 199cm 88kg
(3) Jy Simpkin - 181cm, 71kg midfielder from Murray Bushrangers
(4) Jack Scrimshaw - 193cm, 80kg defender
(5) Jordan Sweet (SA – RUC) 203cm 105kg - ruck
(6) Jeremy Goddard (WA – RUC) 202cm 97kg - ruck

others (to look at - smiles)

Brandon Parfitt - 179cm, 78kg midfielder from North Adelaide/NT
Jonty Scharenberg - 186cm, 80kg midfielder from Glenelg
Jack Graham - 183cm, 83kg midfielder from North Adelaide
Tim English - 203cm, 86kg ruckman from South Fremantle
Kym LeBois - 175cm, 66kg forward/midfielder from North Adelaide
Peter Ladhams - 202cm, 95kg ruckman from Norwood

Anyone who watched the Vic metro game - what did you think of Nick larkey (played defence today, usually a forward)?

So will we draft actual midfielders or more flankers?

Don't care as long as they are defensively minded. I want a player that has at least a 4:1 ratio of disposals to tackles.

Havent watched it yet but liked his game against country up forward

Jake Pitman is like the second coming of Roger James.

I think Scharenberg is gonna be the most reliable option at our pick. So smart with the ball.

Been super consistent in the tac cup as well. I really like him. Could be cleaner, is a bit rugged maybe lacks some pace. Looks a natural ball winner.

Guess it shows the strength of the draft that hes looking like a 15-30 pick

Sharenberg and Graham are easily the best two out of SA, phantom drafts have Sharenberg around 20 and graham close after. Surprises me as SA have a strong team all dependant if WA could win they will take championship, but they are saying our best is around puck 20. I personally think Sharenberg is worth a top 10, if Power don't take it would be a certainty for the Crows to get.

Phantoms always favour vics as until the champs, none of those posters would see them play

Not always there were 3 first rounders from SA last year all predicted, and they are saying Sharenberg might be a first rounder or slip to second. There is a little bit over over excitement on what Vic is producing. Sharenberg has cut up most of the Vic lads since he was a junior. I think port will get him and he will be a champ. Don't give the first rounder away this is a chance to firm up the midfield.

Agree.

Im liking Ainsworth more and more. If he can turn into a mid he'd be a super explosive footballer

How he presents at the draft combine could be make or break for Pitman.

In saying that I'm all for loading up the rookie list with the Will Snelling and Jake Pitman types.

Are you sure? Adelaide may be going all out to get Ben Jarman as a father-son and he has been looking good so may have to be a high pick. Although he has not decided on whether he will be F/S for Adelaide or Hawthorn yet.
