Haven't seen him but I've seen an Academy player called Anthony Stengle, probs related? At 179cm he's pretty strong. Bumps like Byron Pickett.

The two who look most Sloaney are Brad Scheer and Harry Perryman. Scheer is part of the GC academy, should be there at our pick, but GC should have enough points to get him.

Perryman might be one that may slip through. He's GWS academy, but with them having he, Macreadie, Setterfield & Mutch all around the top 20 or so, they won't be able to afford them all. They may choose to overlook Perryman given he's a similar type to Hopper and Kennedy who they picked last year, and with guys like Ward, Steele, Coniglio with plenty of footy ahead of them, they may consider Perryman surplus to requirements.

Later on you are probably looking at Atley or maybe someone like Bunker
 
Macca19 you and the club need to go talk to IBM, they are doing some work with the NBA Toronto Raptors with their 'Watson' style supercomputers. They are working on data-crunching for the NBA draft.




Even if the club don't go for it, it might help you do your phantom drafts at the end of the year!

I still can't believe Rhys Mathieson slipped to our pick in 2015 draft and we went for Bonner. Rhys has had some injury worries up there, but he looks good and talk about us ignoring a need! Bonner will be a solid player but he is caught behind a plethora of players in Pittard, Broady, Krak and DBJ, while you could also say Polec and Hartlett as well. He really may turn out to be a really poor selection at that point given our needs.

So absolutely our first pick must be a quick player who gets inside and wins contested ball. Sounds like there'll hopefully be a few of these around our pick which is exciting. Will have to watch this Scharenberg at some stage soon.

When we took our pick and the first name started with an R... I thought we were taking ryce.
 
The only concerns I have with Scharenberg are whether he hurts you enough with his disposal and his lack of pace. Do we need an accumulator type or more someone who can burst away from a stoppage? If Macca's prediction of him becoming similar to Scott Thompson is correct he'd be pretty bloody handy!

Shannon Beks is 196cm and 92kg and wears 38. might be the guy you are talking about?
