At least with Essendon he's going to a club that isn't stocked with other young talent. Their list is shit, but should rebound to the 9-13 range next year to not get another year of really good picks. They are still going to go off a cliff in 2 - 3 years due to earlier draft penalties.

Wouldn't say their list is shit at all.

Early doors but I'd be thinking that North, possibly Eagles and Hawks could drop out of the 8 next year.

Essendon, Port, Melbourne and Saints will all be in line to take their spots.

Relying on four injury prone defenders... sensational.

Define "injury prone".

Trengove played the full season, Austin only got injured in the last match, Clurey didn't miss a game when he came into the side mid-season, Hombsch had his first serious injury but has been in the side pretty much every week since he started with us.

Trengove constantly getting shoulder surgeries, is a back up ruck now so he can't be relied on to be a number 1 defender
Hombsch has had 2 major hip surgeries in the last couple of years and spend most of this year not playing.
Austin has had a double shoulder reconstruction last season.
Clurey had a major foot injury this year and isn't exactly a key defender

That's the AFL these days. Is Wines injury prone from the shoulder and wrist injuries he had? Or Gray with his knee/hamstring?

There wouldn't be many in the league that would get through a whole season without a couple of issues.

SPS oozes class with skill although Brodie is much like Ollie. (Ollies good) If we can get either, we'll be in a brilliant position for the future

Marshall looked 5 years away from ready. We don't need that. At least 10 players that looked ready to go from day one next year. That is what we need.

Taranto, McCluggage, Florent, SPS, Scrimshaw, McGrath all very classy. To me, Sproule looks a likely forward type, really nice kicking action. English has hopeless hands, didn't look like marking the ball.

My thoughts. It was a mids game. I have largely ignored tall because they weren't in the game and largely blurred.

McGrath - nice player not hugely damaging for such a high pick.
Berry - he's a goer. Solid.
Villis - did a few nice things. Not enough.
Perryman - compact.
Bolton - I really liked him as a forward / wing
Taranto - good game but I didn't think he was close to best
Gallucci - did nothing for me. If we pick him at 9 I cry.
Powell pepper - loved his game. Moves well, throws himself about, I thought he could kick.
Bowes - classy.
McCluggage - pick 1
at ley - thought he was poor.
Lynch - thought he was poor
Ainsworth - gun ready made player.
DAi cos - he was good
Battle - did a few nice things
Marshall - poor. Not ready.
Ratugolea - poor. Lacked skills.
Hayward - never heard of him. Nice Sa midsized forward.
ZZuhaar - nothing to see.

Walker - back pocket for a while. Looked okay.
Garth Waite - awkward.
Rotham - I think he is highly rated but I didn't see much.
scrimshaw - classy but looks like a flanker.
Sproul - back and forward. Showed a bit.
cumming - brother of pap harrison. Wanted him to be good. He Is not
cox brennan - liked his game.
Drew - fumbly
Poholke - kicked a nice goal. Didn't notice much.
Clarke - played wing and half forward. He was okay. Still like him.
Petroski Seton - please be there at ports pick. Real deal.
Scharenberg - can't kick or handball.
English - I thought he was okay.
Olango - expected nothing. Surprised. Good bouncy player.
Jarman - hawks or crows. He isn't that good.
Florence - he is a really smart classy player.
Davis - I think he had some talent as a forward but mayb e no tank?
Cedric cox - he was classy.

Has Andrew McGrath been mentioned? A battler to help out Ollie and get the ball to Gray and Wingard. Could be our Caleb Daniel.

Edit, just read some of the thread, yes he has of course.
