What about Tom Stewart from Geelong's VFL side as a late pick or rookie. Mature age recruit could be a good replacement for O'Shea or Stewart.

Plays as the third tall, great spoiler, good disposal and runs hard both ways.

As for our first 4 picks I was thinking 2 mids and 2 KPFs before, but now I think 3 mids and 1 KPF.

Venables, SPP, Florent and Kerr would be a great outcome I reckon.

With that midfield group you get a mix of size, strength, speed, contested ball winners, elite skills and goal kickers. And Kerr looks like a dependable KPF, good mark and a good size who could play early in his career.

To me that looks better than trading in some 2nd rate player from another club just because they have been around a while.

Geelong will pick him up. KT said in his email that we will be getting 4 new draftees in, meaning we exit the draft with pick 31

At this rate we'll have turned the current list over in ten years time.

Yeah KT's email surprised me a bit. I thought we might try and clear a couple more spots to bring in some new talent. Especially if we are interested in Barrett and he does get delisted by GWS. And if Liam Ryan makes it through to a late pick or rookie.

Spp reminds me a lot of mitch robinson in his prime in his attack on the ball; field kicking is query goal kicking is good though. Dont think he'd be avaliable at 30/31 but id rather a pure ball user like witherden, simpkin, florent.

What do people think of brett eddy as a rookie? Will be 27 next year can act as a third tall whilst dougs gets back and/or we bring in a skinny marshall type who will need time to develop. Kerr could play r1 battle definetly first year player.

What is expected to happen with upgrading rookies? Would we be likely to use picks 14, 17, 30 and 31 on draftees and then upgrade both Krakouer and Snelling. Although Krakouer is listed as a senior player on the club website that is only due to his nominated rookie status with the suspensions on Monfries and Ryder. Would expect to see Krakouer upgraded before anyone else, Snelling has only had one game which wasn't bad so maybe another year on the rookie list.

Look at the contesred marking, the pace, the defensive ability and i do think hes an ok kick. Moves the ball around too much in his run up but is fixable imo.

Hes pure potential
I'm going by 5 minutes of highlights so you'd probably know better than me. Guess I'm a little cautious regarding set shot goal kicking these days.

Heard really good things about left footer Dylan Whimpress. 188cm and still growing and can play defence, middle and forward.
Draft video clips dont do him justice apparently. Anyone seen him play? Rookie?

His good is great but hes very lazy and often offers minimal defensive pressure

I'm heartened reading a chat with Gary Buckenara and answering about Bulldogs picks Here's what he said

Hi Michael, this is a very even and deep draft. Picks 18 and 26 will net two very good players

Again, clubs will have their own lists and talent flow some to take best ranked player, some will go on positional needs into the future. But the Bulldogs have done a very good job in recent times at the draft table so I would expect the Bulldogs supporters will end up with two very good future players with those picks.

Reminder that Gary Buckenara also said we should trade out Wines to improve our list.

I didn't read KT as saying there won't be more delistings and more picks used. Just saying we get (at least) 4 top end draft picks in.

I bet a club that he is aligned with would have picked him up - only way that comment can be justified
He doesn't need to be justified, the only explanation needed is that he's a muppet

Hi Portia would you take a ruckman with Our fifth pick which is somewhere in the 80's and delist a player such as o'shea.

Apologues if this has been covered in previous posts.

Depends on who is available. There's a couple of OK options, but then a bunch of guys that shouldn't much earlier than rookie list really

Compiled a few of the phantom drafters+Callum Twomey's power rankings and 'averaged' them out.
