Has us overlooking Powell-Pepper to take Witherden instead at 17.

Picks 14 and 17 yay, but I'd be pissed if we drafted Graham and Mutch with our picks in the 30s.

Can't fault a lot of the reasoning on players going ahead of him based on both needs and best available but if Brodie is available at 14 holy crap that's a massive win considering he screams a deadset certain top 10 talent.

Would take Marshall at 17 though seeing as he's still tipped to be available at that pick, we need a forward to develop and can't overlook the best one in this years draft.

There was nothing wrong with the Dixon price tag. If you want to get an AFL quality KPF then you need to be prepared to give up something of value.

What we acquired was a guy with 50 odd games experience due to a long history of injuries. He is a quality player, but had question marks. That's why we overpayed. And this was a year after we overpaid for a guy who we haven't seen for the past 12 months and is now in last few years of career.

I love them both as players, are awesome. But I also love massages, but I wouldnt pay $500 for one.

I trust the club to get the right player for that moment. I just don't trust that they really know what the moment is what it's needs are. We thought we were in a good window, we, stocked up on mature talent at a high cost cos it had the chance to buy us a flag... , but as it turns out we overachieved and now are scrambling to get some young guys in. We really need to do well this year, cos we don't have any quality coming in next year from the first round.

If we didn't pay the fair amount we did for both Ryder and Dixon we simply wouldn't have them. Instead we'd have whoever we picked at Pick 17 and 37 in 2014, Pick 10 in 2015 and this year's Pick 30 (which we weirdly got back from GC in another trade).

Keep in mind that if we did this it means we might miss out on guys like Howard and Austin, because the choices we make at 17 and 37 in this alternate timeline change the entire draft thereafter.

So if you could do it all again, would you do this?

I really don't see Brodie being there at our pick, I just can't fathom it. Obviously you'd take him if he was.

But outside of that, Jy Simpkin has shot up to my number one want at our first pick. I think I've just got a thing for those who look like stars then get injured for their final year (Stringer, Burton).
