Ben Jacobs gathered 47 in a NAB U18 game just before we picked him. Hopefully the list managers have learnt from that and look at more than just the numbers.
Saw that game at The Parade. He looked a class above everyone else ... Take note - be careful of dashing back flankers.

if we pick Parfitt up at 14 I reckon we've told him to back off this year because he wasn't as impressive this year as he was expected to be , in other words on this years form it's a no , on last years form it's a yes .

We've told him to back off this year???? You are kidding, surely

Yeah this is a bit of a joke.

No club makes that kind of a commitment to a kid if they aren't a father-son or academy discount.

Has us bidding on Perryman. I must confess I haven't considered him too much given he's a GWS zoner. Just had a look at his games and read on some PD's. Looks a very, very good player.

Perryman is the natural footballer in this group. He isn't overly fashionable, but hits his targets. He isn't particularly quick, but tends not to get caught. He can't jump very high but doesn't get beaten in one-on-ones. Perryman is a great kick on both feet, spots up targets and places kicks into space for forwards to lead onto. He can play across half-back, in the midfield and near goal, and does it all very smartly. He's a little bit rugged but just plays a step ahead of most of his opponents.

To qualify for being linked to us at 14/17 you must have a) broken a leg this season or b) had a massive form drop off after killing it in 2015 or c) Be a flanker with unproven midfield scope.

I don't understand how McGrath can be the number 1 pick. He's a short flanker with average disposal.

Maybe pigeonholing players into traditional, antiquated roles is the problem.

Maybe when he plays against much bigger men who are as fit as him he will look average. Maybe people will say what are his weapons when he is small and lacks penetration with his kicking. Maybe he will rack up some chippy disposals.

Here's what my little birdy has told me:

Pick 1 - Hoping to get Hayward. If picked up earlier, likely to take Alex Witherden.
Pick 2 - Marshall if available

Key defender we like is Maibaum

We're not into Graham, Scharenberg or Berry

We won't touch English with our first 2 picks

not far off what i hear esp re hayward. Like mentioned earlier as well, I believe if Gallucci is there at 14 and Hayward is not we will take him there.

He's arguably the most influential player in the draft.
