As I wrote some weeks back, just amazing how polar opposite people's views are on players. Depends of you see them on a good or a bad day.

Ultimately will depend on bolters and sliders.

My tips (not who I necessarily want - just who I think Port will go for):

14. Simpkin or Galluci or Hayward
17. SPP or Parfitt
30. Clarke or Mutch or Sharenberg
31. C Cox or Begley or J Walker
79. Kirby or Zurhaar or Tweedie or Liam Ryan
88. * Krak - elevation

Rookie 1. Olango or Lienert
Rookie 2. Dubois or Stengle or Narkle or Rioli

Cat 'B'. Irra (would prefer Luael though)

Lock it in, Eddie :D:D:D

Afl site now have Sydney getting Brodie. hmmm.

Emma Quayle tweeted she is answering questions from 8pm (would be eastern). Im sure i read earlier today she is posting a phantom draft (sometime) today.

Emma tweeted a few weeks ago that she may give this year a miss. Seems to be the case.

She's tweeting yesterday and today that she's done one, so I don't think it is the case. Hers and Callum's sort of annoy me in the end - sure, they're accurate, but I wouldn't mind some surprises and I have no idea why clubs let those two know who they're picking.

Yes she tweeted Titus that she wasn't doing one but perhaps she has reconsidered.

anyone else want Ben Jarman with a late pick purely for the lulz

Id draft him at 79 because he would actually be worth taking a punt on at that pick. He was number 1 at the combine for clean hands and also came top ten for field kicking & goal kicking. He's got potential.

The fact that he's the son of Darren Jarman and the melts it would cause many crows supporters, whilst satisfying, would be irrelevant.

So late talks say 100% marshall at 17; dont think we will take both him and hayward. Venables or witherden most likely at 14

Salsa?

I wonder if Hayward was not south Australian that we would still be rumoured to be taking him

I think some people who do these phantom drafts still have the mentality of "SA clubs prefer SA talent" etc.

We do have a penchant for SA talent though.

With the lot next door leaking players they want to retain, hopefully they go for SA players earlier than they'd otherwise deserve. At least at their first to leave us someone good. :)

Under Twomey's phantom selections, it will be a case of comparing the careers of
Brodie vs Hayward
and
Pick 49 vs Pick 31
to work out the winner of our trade with Sydney.

Let's hope Pick 49 isn't another Luke Parker and Pick 31 another Ben Newton.

We do have a penchant for SA talent though.
Since the 2009 National Draft, the only guys we've drafted from SA onto the main list (ie. not rookie promotions) are Riley Bonner, Mitch Harvey & Chad Wingard.

Three in seven years.

Were are getting the SA boys back with interstate experience, Schulz, Ebert, Monfries, Hombsch, Polec and I think one other. EditJay Nash in 2009 with Schulz but I reckon there is one more.
