I witnessed this performance.
Would love to nab a kid like this. Has Dylan Shiel written all over him, but how is it possible?

Gaullucci ..not quite Shiel to my eye but your with you commitments may well have seen him play more than me.. seem more outside , not quite as inside and his kicking can be a little questionable at times... but no doubt high end talent. A better version of Taylor (Brisbane) perhaps.

any comment on the knee issue above?

The tape on his knee?
Maybe patellar tendon- very common in young athletic typed like JG.
have seen his 36 possession day, and his kicking was impeccable.
But there may be some flaws here and there, if not, he would be #1.

sorry V , maybe you didn't get the tag... to the above posts ......

Would be nice if we could get Jack Roughsedge cheap. Named Oakleigh Chargers skipper this
year and had 39 possies in round eight. Missed the start of the season due to a meniscus tear.

To be honest YOTC ..im not sure... apparently at 17 or 18 they can repair themselves... we need some insightfull knowledge from someone like Vdubs All I know is ..not ideal start and unless his talent is obvious as Selwoods , Id be looking at other options. What ever Selwoods issue , it turned enough off him so we could get him at 7... thats a lot of talent for your guy to show.

OK.
I think Joel may have had an OCD lesion, which is not obsessive compulsive disorder, but osteochondritis dissecans, where basically a piece of joint cartilage breaks away and becomes like a loose body. Don't know for sure, but he had a year off, and these are fairly common and potentially serious, but more often frustrating for young energetic high achievers.

Meniscal tears are a different animal.

Thanks for the info. The link says 3-4mths recovery/rehab time. I know Roughsedg missed the start of the season (first 8ish rounds) came back and dominated one game and then I'm not sure he played after that?

There's quite a few articles online lauding his leadership skills and personality. If we can get him cheap (read rookie pick) he could be a great acquisition.

Quality stuff. V.. Reading the website.I just wish they would spell out what age is "Older people".. and "If symptoms persist"... LOL .. I certain did my recently with almost no effort and just how long should one persist with non surgical before biting the bullet. For athletes it would seem that the surgical option is first port of call , basically lets not mess around.
In respect of the young player I hope damaged it in the area that repairs itself...

Leadership is a great attraction to me , add talent and you have the basis of a strong list. I feel atm that we are a little down in that area.

Surprised Petrevski-Seton not featuring in the speed tests? Is he there being tested or is he going to the WA State tests?

How can a guy get a 89cm standing jump and only increase it to 91cm while running

Im sure there is an answer but thats beyond my knowledge... he is a athlete with good genes. Id have thought Ainsworth would shown up in that he some hops.
And get an even lower measure using the opposite foot! Bizarre.

Either he has horrible technique jumping while running or there was an error when they recorded the standing jump.

Was he expected to break the record pre-draft. You wouldn't think that this kind of thing would be a surprise.

a couple more results from the combine... Tom Williamson looks to be someone who will elevate on his results.

Repeat sprint total (six x 30metre sprints)

Jordan Gallucci (24.36 sec)
Andrew McGrath (24.44)
Bailey Morrish (24.83)
Jarrod Berry (24.99)
Ben Ainsworth (25.01)
Kym LeBois (25.08)
Griffin Logue (25.09)
Shai Bolton (25.10)
Myles Poholke (25.20)
Jacob Allison (25.30)

3km time trial
Jarrod Berry (9:46 minutes)
Tom Williamson (9:50)
Dylan Clarke (9:52)
*Mark O'Connor (9:56)
Griffin Logue (9:58)

If we lose Clark, Vardy and Kersten.

Is this guy worth a punt? Mason Shaw from WAFL, kicked 51 goals, clunked 5.3 marks a game this season. Kicked a lot of goals at Colts level too. Was drafted with pick 30 by Port in the national draft, but cut loose by Port after they picked up Dixon and Ryder.
197cm
94kgs
23yo next season.
Just a thought.

Its not the worst option... P30 and now only 22..one could make the case plenty of talls go a bit backward before going forward..and as you say opportunities etc. Looks solid overhead rather than brilliant , not sure one hie vertical or mobility or speed ... does look a very solid kick. How he would compare to House I'm not sure , perhaps a bit taller. He would probably be a Menegola type pick... if his speed and agility was up to AFL level he could be a very good mature addition . As I said not the worst suggestion at all in a year we have late picks and probably will need to find a KPF option.
Perhaps some of our WA watchers could comment on him.

No way, he was putrid as SANFL level and would not cut it at AFL level.

I'd be happier to try to get Josh Battle through the draft - a better version of Kersten imo.

You saw him live? I was going to ask Farmer2Goggin if he has seen him. Not athletic enough? Bad attitude? Someone like him as a late pick or Rookie is hardly going to cost the earth but if there are better options great lets get the best one for sure.

Pure_Ownage and I have talked about the 2017 targeting of a top end guys like 2mp .. and next years draft looks very enticing for talls ..so this year may one be coverage. I guess thats why someone mentioned we were talking to Dawes.

In a KPP light draft Battle will be gone before our first pick.

Hi Turbocat
Haven't seen much WA footy this year so can't add much re Shaw.
Have seen Stranidica from East Freo play a bit - has potential as a tall KPP , could be a Rookie choice?
Agree with your comments on Powell-Pepper , the knock is on his kicking but he's a contested beast that slipped initially but the combine results may change that again. Would be great if he slips into the 30's...........

If these results are anything selectors go by, looks like Gallucci will be well out of our grasp.
He is an exceptional athlete with a quality footy brain, super fit mentally and physically. Will follow his career with great interest. Really worth trading for.

I get that you like Gallucci... but I cant see us being near where he will go. And to be honest ..there would be a few others atm id prefer but of course one never know where they would drop. I can see him in the 15-25 range and being a big win for someone.

Just having a look at our list I really think our priority at the draft should be a key forward and a ruck.

After Hawkins we don't have any other key forward coming through apart from maybe Buzza. Kersten and Vardy are as good as gone and Clark's days are numbered.

In terms of the ruck we have Smith and Stanley and then literally nothing else. We probably need a mature recruit and also a development option here.

Jordon Sweet (203cm, 105kg) would be a quality pick up:

Or Peter Ladhams (202cm, 90kg):

Josh Battle looks like a Kersten type of replacement. At 192cm and 90kgs, he's probably a third tall, just like Kersten, might have the body to play seniors in his first season. He might slip to our pick 35. Kersten was a touted a top 20 pick, and slipped to us at 34, same could happen with Battle.
