Well, yeah you did post in my direction - you quoted me.

Could absolutely care less about anything you have to post, now or in future. I was simply pointing out that your comment which labelled QAFL fans statement as a "rumour", just because you "know the coach", held no more substance than QAFL Fans comment.

But by all means mate, take it to heart and make a big deal out of it.

Cats were heading up to Hervey bay for a game in 2 weeks, but that was before the coaching shambles. So not sure if that is still going ahead

Can't believe that in one breath AFLQ and Lions were thinking of setting up home base at Springfield and they can't even get a junior or senior club to run consistently out of the joint.

With all the growth and potential out that way it should be going a lot better.
 
Any news on whether Cats are actually playing this year. The list published on the AFLQ website under the QAFA B Central tag suggests only 12 teams and the Cats are missing....
 
Anyone looking for a kick. Come on down to the Woodies.

We are a little short on numbers this year. Nothing to worry about, but i hate calling blokes on Thursday to ensure we have a side so want to get a few more blokes signed up.

Nah, we're sweet. We have 30 blokes + a few who will return mid year from serious injury last year.

But i just know that for us, a more comfortable number is 40 or thereabouts. Natural attrition and unavailability due to work and family is a reality for a team mainly made up of older married blokes with kids.

Have a high proportion of business owners and/or executive types as well, thus work is always prioritised.

We also have appointed a coach.

Sorry fat fingers. What I was about to say Thommo, is that your call to arms is pretty much the norm with most clubs this year.

Don't know what it is but everyone I speak to at club land in every league are really struggling for numbers.

Yeah. We're not officially struggling by any stretch, just want a few more.

We also encourage guys who have never played before to come down and want to be sure people know everyone is welcome

And just when I have you pegged as a 50 something SEQ football tragic who played 150 games in the SQAFA, you go and use the word "dude" in response to Blocker Roach. Very hip and modern. Will it turn out that you're actually captain of the Morningside Panthers U16s, and a chance to get drafted next year?

There has been sooo much sh!t talk on this forum already but thankfully we get something like this to turn this around.

I think we may have the Post of the Year winner before the warm up has been completed.
 
I hear jimboomba had a great start to their pre season campaign. Guise on fire as per usual! But it looks like they have some great young players coming through to mix well with the old heads.
 
Rumours of a few Broadbeach guys heading over there. Even been suggested that they are actually paying a few guys. Couldn't possibly be true, blokes in this division getting paid is absolutely absurd.

If I was someone like Guise or Watson and they brought in a player and paid him, I'd walk straight out the door given the quality they have provided to that club for free!
 
I think the Mail on paying players is well and truely off. Was good to see Ringa running around with the boys aswell! As for the broadbeach players. They live locally so a good hit out for them before there pre season games start.
