I hope they have an accredited coach with the minimum Level 1 coaching certificate.

Otherwise, they aren't permitted to play finals...

Having Watson, good a player as he is, abusing his teammates and umpires now also taking on coaching duties should be good viewing!

For the clubs that didn't make finals.

I got a call from lockyer valley demons chafing players for a game on Saturday at Chinchilla!

That have been ravaged by injuries and forfeited 2 of their last 3. They are a good club and don't want a 3rd forfeit as it results in penalties.

They will cover fuel costs, and need a carload of blokes to help out. (5 at least)

We would be all over it if season was finished.

Good opportunity to get some mates together for a kick and a bit of a road trip. Might even be wirh hitting the pub after and driving home in the morning.

PM me for anyone interested in helping out a club in need.

Just letting anybody who this might effect no or who's interested the game tonight between Redbacks and Power has been changed to our home ground at Redbank for reasons I'm unaware of at the moment.

So those who were going to have a watch don't travel to Jimboomba or those who would now be interested in travelling to Collingwood park feel free.

May have opened myself up to a range of comments like 'why waste your time' 'everybody already knows the result' etc just didn't want anybody travelling for no reason.

Cheers fellas

Sandgate v woodies is a 50/50 despite last weeks result I think. Sandgate are a great front running side and if they can start well I think they can win. If they get behind, they are well known for arguing and beating themselves, like when they lost to Ferny grove. Collingwood park are massive outsiders. Can do some damage to Jimboomba headed forward though as they are a physical side and Jimboomba would love an easy win, as they will need to beat every other finals side outside the loser of the Other match tonight. Which would be a massive task for any team. They have enough top end talent to do it but, injuries will play a role and if they can get through 4 hard weeks with enough in the tank.

Cheers major! Unsure myself so far why it's been changed. But can't wait for tonight's game. cant wait to play you guys at full strength.

Spoke to guisey just before apparently one of the towers blew and it can't get fixed in time.

Will be a good contest mate catch you out there.

Not the best spectacle at Sandgate tonight. Very scrappy and not much flow, but understandable considering the pressure . Credit to Woodies though they hung in there and in my opinion had the mental strength to get themselves over the line.

To any of the muppets on here who are slamming the Redbacks and their 'ex' coach you need to pull your heads in.

I was at the final game he coached (final round v CP) and he was as devastated at leaving as the club was to see him go. He was a VOLUNTEER that put his heart and soul into the time he was at the club no matter how long that was.
However at the end of the day he is also a family man and made the decision that was best for him and his family.

If you think he won't have an impact on the results for the rest of the year you've got rocks in your head. He is a very accomplished footballer with amazing ability to get structures and game plans implemented. Which is what he has done. Now the players at the club have the opportunity to continue working within those structures without him reminding them to do it.

I hope for his sake and the sake of the good lads down at the Redbacks that he is back on the sideline on Grand Final day. Then he'll have an 80 minute job to do to make you all crawl back into whatever lonely, dark, shit infested hole it was you came out of to jump on your keyboard.

The league only looks foolish allowing a club to play Saturday's in a Friday comp when they clearly have the ability with their oval to play Friday. It's bizarre and just as putrid as last year when they allowed Kedron the same luxury.

As for the coaches, clubs can do as they please. This doesn't reflect on the league at all. Only the club.
Your statement here appears to claim that Jimboomba don't wish to play on Friday nights? My understanding is that the league won't approve their lights, thus making it unfit to play. So you're suggesting what:

1) They play in the league that travels to Ballina?

2) They forfeit the right to play home games thus financial crippling the club

3) They fold and leave the juniors in the area to look to other sports to play when they become seniors

Just wanted to touch on those structures in place. After the last two weeks being on the receiving end of those structures I can't help but be super impressed.

Obviously having quality players to execute them is important which may I add the Redbacks boys do.

They were outstanding last night and I can't see why they won't win it. No other team in the Comp that I've played against come close in terms order structure and organisation. (Except Zilmere when danny dickfos plays) Provided they get through the next few weeks injury free.

Shame to go out first round on the end of a hiding but we just couldn't compete against a quality side. Good luck to the rest of the teams still in the hunt. Hopefully see a few of you around the grounds in the next few weeks leading up to the big dance.

So the needs of one club, is greater than the fairness of an entire comp? Woodsmen didn't have lights one year, same as UQ I believe. They organised to have every home game played at moorooka to ensure they stayed a Friday night club. In a Friday night comp. they did this until lights were upgraded and they could play at home. Don't think either were "financially crippled".

It sounds like have their lights upgraded now almost any way. So won't be an issue next year.

I actually think they will go close to winning the comp, and good luck to them.
