Birdsong - Sebastian Faulks
We Need To Talk About Kevin - Lionel Shriver

There could be a few more...not too bad considering some of them are pretty hefty books. Haven't had much time this year.

I had a love/meh relationship with JJ, but ultimately enjoyed it.

A Little Life was a stunning book. Loved every moment.

Fair enough. I loved her book.

I can add Butcher's Crossing by John Williams and The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt.

Butcher's Crossing is pretty cool. Four men go buffalo hunting in wild America.

The Goldfinch was good. I loved her book The Secrety History. This one was strong, but the ending kinda felt a bit flat for me.

Sapiens, by Harari, which I'm currently reading

Heat, by George Monbiot

Merchants of Doubt, by Namoi Oreskes

Coal: a human history, by Barbara Freese

Atmosphere of Hope, Tim Flannery

... been on a bit of a global warming/environmentalism binge this year

Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace.

Halfway through and shelved it... you know it's a work of genius, but it's so dense. I loved the Eschaton game the kids at the tennis academy played.

Ayn Rand is a terrible writer, dunno why you'd waste your time.

Somewhere in her work there might be an idea worth considering, if it weren't for the writing, the terrible terrible writing.

Confederacy of Dunces - John Kennedy Toole.

After ten pages... meh
After finishing... brilliant, just exemplary.
