This is all I've heard, doesn't really mention Wells & his foot but I'm not too optimistic with his durability now:

"The remaining senior players resumed in Melbourne shortly afterwards, with veterans Drew Petrie and Daniel Wells reporting for duty noticeably lighter, with both shedding about 5kg in the off-season."

Byrne is a lock for me. Training well and will be a good player.
Others I'm looking at in the pre season are:
R.Mathieson. Ball winner who can rack up numbers
C.Petracca. Last years No.1
B.Keays. Body ready and should play straight away
L.Partington. Underrated ball winner. WCE need mids
B.Rice. If fit enough body can handle senior footy
R.Bonner. Elite ball user of HB
R.Clarke. Finds ball and body ready. Roos need more class mids
D.Cunningham. Quick mid who is training well. Will get games
D.Parish. Elite and will play.
A.Francis. will play HB and intercept. good ball use
S.Kerridge. Training house down and will play every game
D.Cavka. Second year player who can find ball
A.Marcon. Mature player in Lambert mould

Byrne will need to be upgraded from the rookie list prior to Rd1 and named in the snr side to be a lock.

Thx mate Wells is one for the watchlist imo and is (FWD/MID) also. FWIW, Wells averages 91 over his career. (If you take out his last 2 injury affected seasons - 2014 and 2015 combined for 9 games)

Definitely one for the watchlist I've just never had him in my team before & probably won't start in 2016.

I can see my F6 being Cockatoo with two FWD bench options Petracca & Kerridge.

Have never had him either. He has never been 243k before though either lol. Currently have Vardy at F6? How is he travelling?

Man I'd love to see Clarke and Hibberd get meaningful playing time this year. Seems a long shot at this point though.

That's true haha! Probably won't be getting him myself still idk just a personal preference.

And that's a unique pick how much is Vardy you know?

And he's been travelling great along with Menzel they are finally having full pre-seasons so far :) With Smith & Stanley the likely ruck pair in 2016 Vardy will start off as our main Centre Half Forward (I have him in front of Clark given how much we rate Vardy) with Hawkins our FF of course.

Not sure how many points Vardy would average as CHF with Rucking only inside attacking 50 I assume.

So don't know if that helps aha I won't be getting Vardy personally when a Cockatoo is cheaper & play more around the ball :)

He is a bit expensive at 293k. Scored 93, 35 and 105 in the last 3 games of 2015. Another for the watchlist.

That's true & he does seem to get on the end of a few so I can see him getting 2 or 3 goals a game with midfield service better too hopefully :)

If fit then the Geelong players I'll probably get will be Bartel DEF, J. Selwood MID, Blicavs RUC & then Cockatoo FWD.
 
What is Brayden Fiorini positioned at? Is he just a MID or is he DEF/MID?

I think Menegola will be a good depth player for the Cats to have but don't think he'll get enough games in a row & enough to be relevant. Think he'll play 3-5games in 2016. I have Horlin-Smith ahead of Menegola but can't even find a spot for Horlin-Smith in the Cats best 22 in Round 1 either!

Damien has a dodgy foot fracture and after missing the 2nd half of last year isn't into full training yet. Might play a handful of games this year but he will be pushing shit uphill to get a gig.

If they play that dickhead Smith ahead of Vardy I will spit on that idiot coach given the chance. He's 10x better than that overrated lumbering hack.

If everyone is fit you'll see us play Smith No.1 ruck with Stanley No.2 ruck.

Then our FF will be Hawkins & CHF will be Vardy.

Smith will improve from a change of environment & now his body is starting to hold up too, same as Vardy's who is more a natural forward.

This being a SuperCoach thread though, not a coach hating thread, I will say that everyone should stay away from Smith & Stanley as they are too unknown. Vardy would be a unique pick & being less than $300K could be a good pickup with better midfield service in 2016 hopefully.

He won't improve, he's a lumbering jackass. Why put all these years into Vardy and replace him with that shit on toast. What about Clark? You can't fit them all in with Blicavs as well. I'll microwave my membership if he lines up in the middle instead of Vardy. You can't have Hawkins, Vardy, Clark, Blicavs, Smith and Stanley in the same team.
