Are peel training as 1 for the finals?

Considering the non AFL listed players would have day jobs, during the day I'd assume it would be just the Freo boys and then they would have a main session with the non AFL players one night during the week.

Surely the Peel boys could get the day of and train with the Freo boys at the session Friday morning.

I'd be happy having Tabs marking down the wings (Matt Richardson style) all day to help get the ball forward. Much more useful than expecting him to mark and kick goals when already surrounded by McCarthy, Yarran, Bennell, Walters, Apeness and Fyfe

Yep, that's his natural position. Love his field kick too.

Tabs needs to watch N.Riewoldts last game of the season and then aim to emulate that in the pre-season. 9 goals as a floating high half forward with stints playing deep. Yeah, it was only Brisbane but I reckon Tabs already has the aerobic capability to achieve that role.

It would be nice to see the squad match Fyfe's training program and intensity. Walters is one who seems to be in that group. There are some players who want to win and are prepared to do the work necessary to get the best out of themselves...and there are players who are content to be AFL players.
Only 1 team will win, what you do now matters later.

Some according to AFL.com.au are back tomorrow. Can't be many but will probably be those that are younger that didn't play in the WAFL finals but then again some of those probably keen to hit the track early.
Weller, Grey, Ubergang driver, Alex Pearce (if back from his US trip with Fyfe), Matt Taberner, Cam McCarthy.

Then the likes of Balic and Apeness are a possibility due to limited preseasons last year and possibly Bennell and Crozier with early finishes to last season.

Other clubs that didn't play finals last season – including Collingwood, Melbourne and Fremantle – will also hit the training track with their younger players returning to action on Monday.

The players that played in the WAFL finals are allowed to train aren't they? If so, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the youngsters are out there tomorrow. Competition for selection is going to be hot next year as almost everyone on our list could be playing round 1 if they prove themselves in the pre-season. If it were me I'd be doing everything in my power to maximise my chances of becoming B22.

Uebergang and nyhuis is now or never go and get it. Grey and deluca your can get back into it and do a crowley or c.pearce, maybe better.

Pretty safe bet that DannyTheDoorman and salim malik will be reporting back to the club for day one for their skin folds and a light run. :thumbsu:

So are we going to be having our usual pack of avid, overly enthusiastic training observers this summer? Or does that only happen when we're winning?
Appropriately enthusiastic :) salim has been reporting through the bad times and the good - I first met him in the Harvey days, and remember the shift in preseason being like night and day when Lyon got involved. Who would have thought getting each line doing specific drills was a thing ;)

What are you saying we are fairweather training reporters or we go over the top? Or both?

All good I'll be meditating under a fig tree and giving my own observation if I'm in the mood

The training watchers last off-season gave us all a lot of false hope. Really let the BigFooty team down.
I heard because of this training watchers will not write anything in BF anymore.

Disagree.

The Watchers gave a huge amount of positive feedback in the 2015 preseason and we blitzed the first 10 weeks.

The feedback this year was much more subdued, and whilst gutted I wasn't shocked at our Round 1 performance this year.
