would corr cost anything?
Seems he could be delisted...?
How many do the GWS have to cut this year?

ok.. hang on.. is contracted until 2018... maybe they are happy to let him go?
Or would we need to pay up?
Cant imagine he could cost much.
Delisted? Surely not, played the full season last year and was best 22 at the start of the year before injury.

Yeah I guess
I was never good at cryptic crosswords tho.

Right
Everytime we get some stupid vague itk comment I'm relying on you tweety bird to explain it to the old corny popper
Look at some stats
Seems to do well in neafl....and ok in afl.....needs bulk on the frame by the sounds of it
Mate I couldn't work it out, I tweeted him for a clue and apparently the clue was in the post.. this bird's a bit slow.

Haven't seen a lot of Corr this year due to injury but he is the type of player Richo would want. Mobile and with good foot skills. What would he cost though? He was best 22 at the start of the season and played seniors all but two games last year.
You'd imagine Pick 10 might be involved as a starting point, but that we'd be angling for Steele and Corr for that.

We'd want to get back into the (early) 2nd round somehow I'd have thought...

Maybe we could use the pick we get for Billy if he does indeed move on.

I really want to see us keep 10.

ok fair enough... has had some injuries... but on the other hand he has had 4 seasons and played 36 games... and played the last 5-6 weeks in the NEAFL while Tomlinson seemingly tied down a KPD post and they have Buntine and Himmelberg waiting and McCreadie

point is... his stocks are not at their peak right now.. maybe it is a good time to try to grab him

Would be nice to pull a deal off like that, then somehow end up with 3 picks around that 20-30 mark. Feel like that is a good spot to be in this draft. Then marquee mid next year

Haven't seen much of corr, how does he compare to Marchbank?
Jaxons says we were VERY keen on Marchbank so I am sure we had 10 on the table there...
I am just not so sure that Corr is worth the same, considering he was drafted in 2012 and has most recently been playing in the NEAFL
I just think that drags value down

We need to go all out for a match winning midfielder, look at the top 5 sides WB Bont,Libba: Syd Kennedy,Hannebury:Haw Mitchell,Lewis,Geel Selwood,Danger:Giants Ward,Shiel all match winners & can turn a game when need to & pull you over the line,I don't believe we have a player of that caliber at the saints.

There is nothing wrong with having champions if you manage the SC right. Pretty sure Hawthorn and Geelong proved that. We proved we couldn't managed our SC. I think the thought that you don't trade for champions is flawed. And don't worry by the time the WB are stuffed people will see 4 or 5 champions in that side on the weekend. Its the same as Hawthorn in 2008.

I think you are correct with regards to the salary cap, because I believe at present, we still rely on Roo, and Joey, and maybe the doggies are lucky in respect that they won a premiership, before some of their players come looking for a pay increase as their stocks rise.

At the moment their team is fairly even, no real super star, but as you said that will change.

If we spend too much on 1 player now, what will happen?we could start a chain reaction, I wouldn't be surprised if that happens at the doggies due to Boyd.

Picks 10 & future 2nd for Steele, Corr & pick 15....
would love to get 15 back.. even better if we give them something we gain from a trade out rather than next years 2nd, which we will want to use nest year!...

Getting Steele + Corr +15 would be huge.. maybe asking too much... we would have to give 10+quite a bit...so yes, next years 2nd if we must :)

Port aren't trading him to get him out. They want a high draft pick or a player that is highly rated. If they don't get it they'll probably keep him.
Says you. They regarded him highly enough 12 months ago to sign him up to 5 more years at decent coin, knock back multiple high picks from NM for him, and to top it off made him vice-captain of their club. The explanation you give above does not stack up IMO as to why things have changed so drastically 1 year on.
