I heard the Pies have tempted him away on very big money. WTF are they doing, they have decided not to take Jong and stick with really old guys and disappointing players from other clubs. I reckon they might have stuffed up with Gubby Allen, he seems like a ******* nut bag.
Apparently Wells on 600k x 3 years. 31 yo that's busted. Bucks desperate & will ruin their list lmao

Corr probably only worth pick 40 & Steele pick 20-25 imo.

I'd do pick 10 & future 2nd round pick for Corr,Steele & pick 15 then 15 for Hartlett.

Net loss / gain is pick 10 & future second for Steele, Hartlett & Corr. Add those three onto our list along with Carlisle & our 22 is looking quite good strong.
I could live with that. Hartlett would be good value for pick 15 in this draft IMO.

Time will tell Buddha - we supporters always seem to under rate our own fringe players.
That'd probably be my point of difference, I think most overrate their fringe players. Every year you hear someone suggest we bundle up a few of our bottom 6 and sell them off to some club for their 2nd rounder or something as equally unrealistic.

The 2 franchise clubs are really the only place where players who aren't getting a game get looked at because of their overabundance of high draft picks. Other cubs bottom 6 players either vanish into the sunset or maybe at a stretch get rookie listed. Hate to be negative but it's the reality of the system.

I like that but question mark over Hartlett's pay packet? Would rather go for Florent, Sympkin or a slider with Pick 15.
Alternatively, trade future second for Steele- values him where you say roughly.
Trade Pick 46* for Corr- again, values him roughly where you say.
Take 10 to the draft.

Pick 15 for Hartlett?!

If you're going to say stuff like that, please include a meme or gif of a bin so we can vomit into it after reading ;)

Replace 15 for Hartlett with 15 for Florent and I'd be happy with that draft haul.

Carlisle and Corr two key defenders and Steele/Florent two mids. That's all folks and thank your mother for the rabbits!!!!!

Not sure what to think about Corr, but being quick enough to run the 20m sprint in 2.89sec (elite for his size for sure) is a very appealing attribute, especially as Carlisle and Hugh aren't quick. His leap and quality kicking are also appealing.
I haven't seen Corr play, don't know how he defends. But a quick, agile and tall back is just what we need. I'm sold hahaha.

Why don't we trade pick 10 and 46 and future 2nd For Steele, corr, 34 and 2017 future 1st round. If this draft is so even. Why not load up on a better draft.

Not sure on points value but why should we propose fair deals haha but is this close?

No way will GWS trade away future picks when they'll have another 4 top end academy kids next year

They'll always get more. Don't they gain potentially some free agent compo next year if they leave... plus people seem to over pay for their fringe 22 talent...

Would take Hartlett over all except about 3 or 4.... Don't show port this list ;)

Only problem is if Adelaide can't land their other midfield targets and throws pick 12 at port or if GC do something stupid and offer them a top 10 pick....

Maybe we could throw in a sweetener if that happened

In his draft Combine (2012) Corr was equal 5th in the 20mtr sprint (2.89s), equal 7th in the kicking efficiency test and equal 8th in the standing vertical jump. Marchbank missed the 2014 Combine.

Corr is 22, Marchbank nearly 20, and Corr has played 37 games to Marchbank's 7.

Otherwise they're about the same size and statistically pretty even (Corr's on the left)...

View attachment 295725

Ultimately, Corr is a bit more of a shutdown type, and isn't made of glass, though he has had individual shoulder and ankle problems.

Haven't seen enough of him lately, but think Dempster with Roberton's size.
I'm all for Marchbank...he got more frees for, and fewer against, and we all know the frees for count is our downfall. Whatever works :p;)

Just listening to how the Dogs list was put together (15 GF players outside of the top 30 draft picks). Feeling more confident than ever that we'll have a massive crack from 2018. A great coach goes a long way and I think we have that in spades.

I reckon players don't care what others are on, well most players. When Boyd kicked his first goal on Saturday the players seemed more happy than nearly any other goal kicked during the game. We need to get the best available players that we can get no matter what we pay them.
The euphoria of the final and hoping to finally break the drought would have them pumped.

In the cold light of day, next time their contract is up for renewal, what do you think their mananger is going to say? Show me the money.

I agree that some players would play for less, but not all.

I also agree that we need to get the best available, the only difference is I don't want to pay at all costs.

7 players not National drafted (Rookie/Pre Season/DFA)
3 F/S pick 40 onwards
15/22 picked beyond pick 37
5 1st Rnd players 4,5,6,17 + Boyd
Only 2 players traded in (Boyd/Bigs)

draft smarter/ develop better

See the thing is if the mangers say Boyd is on this much and others want that based on ability they will have 12 players at the club. Most players just want what they are worth and not what others are getting. And I don't want to pay at all cost, I want to pay true market value plus more for getting out of another club.
