Just as an FYI for recent history.

We have floated all of our 1st round picks for "sale" in the lead up to trade weeks as it gives off the vibe that we are open to negotiation and thus builds a rapport with people the opposite of what say Dodoro has in being an obstinate inflexible bastard people hate dealing with. This does not mean we intend to actually sell the pick to the first bidder or not engineer a way to get out on an even footing in the trading game where we feel we've at least got scope back to improve our standing.

I'd also be worried if I was JWeb and that sort of player at our club, as with Dmac, with White, with the push for midfielders and rotation to the flanks you've got a bit of a jam that might shake loose a fringe player for a new rotation, or in the case of someone like Owl, a player a club has specifically targeted as a missing link and are willing to pay our value for. So unless you're say Mav, Steven or other entrenched players at the club, you can effectively be bought & sold if you're at least open to the idea of not playing out your days in our jumper.

Has anyone done the maths on how many players we need to bring in assuming fisher retires?
Assuming Fisher is moved to the rookie list and we don't trade or delist anyone else.
We will need to draft 2 players to the senior list + Jack Steele and 1 to the rookie list.

Keep your eyes on Carlton's pick 24 going to GWS for Marchbank. If that's ours it values Steele at pick 31.

Is it worth going for a slider at pick 24?

Likely a better deal than using a future second rounder for Steele. Minimal fuss. No other trades required but it's only 2 in the top 30 (including Steele).

Steele and 16 even better for us but values Steele as steak knives for them.

Couldn't we trade with Gold Coast & do pick 10 for picks 14 & 28?

Eli & pick 47 for Brisbane's pick 29

Send pick 28 or 29 to GWS for Steele...

Steele & 2 picks inside top 30 - sold

If Carlton's trade thread is to be believed (I know), they're trading for 5 GWS players. So you'd think that will involve a first rounder, either 5 or whatever they may get for Gibbs.

Carlton the gift that doesn't stop giving

They're essentially giving a GWS a first rounder so that GWS can get salary relief.

If the AFL knew Carlton was like this they wouldn't even had a mini draft cause GWS keep getting picks and salary cap relief from Carlton :rolleyes:

Legit?

Add 5 to Jaksch, Whiley, Plowman, Sumner, Phillips and that other guy and they're halfway to a Giants team!*

SOS is your basic bigfooty list manager. Many spuds = good pick.
Carlton's GWS NEAFL spuds would get towelled by the real GWS NEAFL squad.

Marchbank, Stewart & Pickett are locks supposedly, and then the rest of the package are unknown. They were hoping it was Steele and Corr/Finlayson.
