Not really big on Tomlinson anymore, he hasn't really lived up to the hype. I know he's not that old but he ain't that young anymore either. I think he would cost too much and he just hasn't really played any great games IMO
Yeah i tend to agree. Instead of looking at the typical excess talent clubs like gws or gc. is there any young fringe guys at other clubs like Sydney or Adelaide or geelong not getting a go? I haven't looking but they wouldn't cost as much as the expansion clubs fringe guys....

gettable? no
position of need? no
Give me our positions of need? I'd say we need more mids. Carlisle and Goddard are talls down back. And we have peripheral defenders around them. We have the key posts up forward in paddy and Bruce... What do you think we need... All I can see we really need is just talent in the midfield that can kick the ball... Minimising turnovers should be our main focus... Guys that can take care of the ball...

Reckon we need another big bodied defender and some outside indigenous magic

When you say big bodied defender... As a backup in case on injury you mean? I believe coghlan (rookie) is a solid enough backup, even Delaney is serviceable and underrated... He just doesn't have the attacking side of the game like others.... And I reckon it is a culture thing with indigenous players... Essendon early on, port Adelaide, and hawthorn do it right... You have to have a couple of them to make them comfortable in the environment of the big city,

They say the key to winning finals in any sport is having a great defence so another agile mature-aged big bodied defender with solid skills (ie: Marcus Adams at Bulldogs) would consolidate our back line (whether as back up or in the playing squad)

Currently Delaney doesn't cut it so we need to upgrade him - with Goddard and Coughlan still being quite young it might be another 3 or 4 years until they start to positively impact games consistently.

RE: outside speed - another Nicky Elvis Winmar would compliment our already solid inside game - we need x-factor - is it possible that we can clone him??

Love it! To clone winmar would be huge! A stringer type would be great.... I'd definitely like to get a genuine A grader with our first pick!! Yeah maybe lee takes the role by the horns and consolidates. Apart from a few kicks he didn't play bad at all!!

I said last year when sellers name was mentioned he was staying because mavs girlfriend somehow knows my daughter. He then signed so to say you have no doubt he would have left is wrong unless either of those 2 are lying. At the moment he isn't going anywhere so maybe we chase guys who may want to leave their club
Plugger, Mav Weller told me to my face numerous times that Lachie wanted to A) come home and B) come to the Saints.

Brian,Ghost and jaxons from ss all had the same info. There was a deal that didn't fall over the line in the last 48 hours of trade week. As far as I am concerned Ghost is the most knowledgeable person on this board with internal stkilda info. I back him with everything he says. Yet to be wrong with the info he has shared with me.

Lee has a solid set of hands and is a lovely kick - agree that he didn't look out of place in the Hawks game however he is likely to struggle lining up on bigger, stronger opponents but that's why we have Carlisle

There is no doubt that the move down back has reignited his career however he needs to become stronger in one on one contested situations, work on his endurance.

As it stands though I like the way he is progressing and I would love to see him get more time in the seniors as he does have some positive aspects to his game that we are in desperate need of.

which again ha the positives and negatives.

means their going to have player retention of "locals" (ill use that term loosely since their academy is weird) and keeping kids in AFL instead o code swapping for kids in their teens
bad because their going to be a powerhouse for a long time
also good because the more they get in the more current players that'll have to go
Their zone includes locals in the Riverena I think they are very loosely local to an area the size of several European countries combined.
