With selection pressure building, you'd think at season's end, we'd only be chasing FAs and drafting quality (not quantity) players.
A little different to previous seasons with huge personnel changeovers and late draft/rookie gem hunting- which has been really successful- but looks like we'll be entering a new phase (a good thing).
Now, is it time to start bundling lower picks with decent "surplus" players and build up to a quality return? Give something, to get something.
E.g. 3rd Round pick + current player (ruckman??) or fringe for a 1st round pick.
Do we now have the cattle that other teams envy and want? Like how we all want GWS' talent, do other teams now look at ours? And should we bundle future low picks with these type of players for a "quality player/pick" return? Whilst pursuing FAs on the side.
I don't think we need to draft/rookie 6 players anymore, Give me 3 great ones and FAs on the side.
