Surely you jest comparing him to Milne? Milne was one of, if not the best pure small forward of all time.
and Milne took time to develop. From my understanding, whilst Lonie was playing a fair bit of senior football in his first year out of u18's, Milne was playing reserves for Essendon. So, give Lonie a break

Not really.

Members went at Pick 46 in 2012 as a KPF who wasn't tall enough for that at the next level, interestingly he started as a midfielder; Begley seems to be going the other way.

Range would be something like 25-40 I'd think, but I could be way off.
clubs would have most likely saw what sicily members types can do around that draft range and may start reaching on the pure footballers with crappy measurements

With all other player talks mainly steele, hurley etc...i see no.mention of tom lamb...he is still uncontracted...no idea if we r keen but we all knw he is talented....but with attitude and work ethic issues....may be a skunk style pick...nthng to losr bt upside is there if he changes his attitude....

I hate other teams!
Depth? Why would be be after depth players? Honestly, why? This is what I don't understand with all the Lin Jong talk.

We need to go to the draft or trade for elite talent.

So, this offseason: (hypothetically of course)

Sam Fisher retires, we add Jake Carlisle for free
Delist Tom Curren, add Jack Steele (trade)
Delist Luke Delaney, add Michael Hurley (trade)
Delist Cam Shenton, add Will Hoskin-Elliott (trade)
Delist or trade Murdoch, add draft pick
Delist Tom Lee, add draft pick
Upgrade Coughlan or O'Kearney

Our 2017 team, excluding the over 30s, ends up looking like this:

B: Geary Carlisle Webster
HB: Roberton Hurley Savage
C: Newnes Steele Billings
HF: Weller Bruce Acres
F: Gresham McCartin Membrey
Foll: Hickey Steven Ross
Bench: Armitage, Dunstan, Hoskin-Elliott, McKenzie

That team excludes veterans:
Riewoldt
Montagna
Dempster
Gilbert

Then there's the young blokes that are missing out that I would consider our very handy depth going forward,

Goddard
Longer
Pierce
Wright
White
Templeton
Sinclair
O'Kearney
Minchington
Lonie
Freeman
Coughlan

Why are people convinced we have no depth? We're still a developing team, yet we're almost good enough for finals this very year. Another 2-3 seasons, more preseasons, more development, some more guns recruits via trade & draft & our list will look ******* great.

We don't need blokes like Lin Jong. It's not a list requirement for where we're heading

(Yes, I will get slammed for suggested Will Hoskin-Elliott is elite... His best is as elite as it comes, kid just needs some continuity & a coach like Richo to really work hard with him to get him back to where he was at the end of 2014)

Someone to consider later is Sandy's Corey Lyons. Brother of Adelaide's Jarryd, he's a 182cm 78kg midfielder.

Averages 24 touches (66.2% eff.), 4.3 marks (0.3 con.), 2.3 tackles and just less than a goal a game.

He's a good solid citizen, who definitely resembles his brother in style. Knock on him is his efficiency by foot (59.5%), though he goes at 77.5% by hand.
Another Sandy Dragon. Yes please.

Got a feeling we might get a couple this year - McGrath, Scrimshaw, Taranto, Florent, Lyons .... ???

Maybe one of them on the list, and a rookie from the guys who've been invited to National or State Combines or polled well in coaches votes or the bests each week for the Dragons:

Hamish Brayshaw 186cm 85kg
Goy Lock 181cm 84kg
Harrison Burt 183cm 74kg
Josh Trew 180cm 73kg
Ari Sakeson 190cm 81kg
Kye Beveridge 178cm 66kg
Hayden McLean 196cm 91kg
Reuben Hayward 182cm 75kg
Lachlan Filipovic 199cm 90kg

Sakeson is attracting some interest.

Played full back at Brighton Grammar, but has moved onto the wing for Sandy and is looking decent.
