I rate Laverde as a good player and I think Acres season was much improved.
Would be fair like for like I straight swap

But if just trade for picks then I think Second & Third Rd is fair
You have no idea bud.

That just makes 0 sense... couldn't be any less of a need
Perhaps, but what if roo spends his last two years (hopefully 2) in the backline and jack (AA CHF) plays his current spot.

Roo played in the backline at time this year and is a great mark, super smart around the ground but perhaps is aging a bit and could provide that tall, fast leadership role.

Maybe why chips is on notice? Jack takes nick spot for next 5 years, roo takes a backline role.

Probably a 2% chance but I'm not sure it's as far fetched as it would first seem.

Think it'd make more sense to just trade in a key defender

Roo plays wing, midfield and forward and drifts down back when he thinks its required.

He wont be paying back. Junktime Jack is 28, and would behind Paddy, Josh Bruce and Skunk.
We have a 200cm backman who can swing forward, Roo, and about a dozen small forwards.
If we recruited Riewoldt ahead of mids we desperately need, Bains and the rest should all be immediately sacked.

Seattle mariners. Boston Red Sox.
If Mav gets traded I will be really p....d off! I cant see it.

JRoo makes no sense at all, UNLESS we are trading out Bruce
Not unless Bruce strolls up the ground or membrey moves into midfield like they said he would when tank is better. I wouldn't mind it. It's more of a top 4 jump though rather than establishing a top 8 spot.

So families reunited.... How many brothers/cousins do we have options for???

Weller
Murdoch
Riewoldt
Jobe Watson
Webster
Goddard but he signed
Would've said Delaney but we delisted him already

So what's likelihood....

I hope not his brother at Geelong played in the VFL on Saturday. If we get him then they can play together at Sandy and kick left foot bombs from 65m and get 12 disposals each. Not what we want, as most of the talk on this forum is about delisting this type of player from our club, the just not quite AFL standard club. Siposs last year was is in the same boat.

Jack Roo we say no in chorus based around the same arguments that will probably stop Armo from being traded to GCS, wrong side of 26 y/o.

Interested in how the Longer side plays out. Could this lead to a ring a rosey of picks involving Freo Haw & GWS and us. We lose pick 10, Longer & say Lee and get Steele, Weller & either Haws first rounder or Freos or GWS early second rounder. Hill & McCarthy to Freo our pick & Longer to Haw. Freo's pick 4 & swap of second rounders to GWS

On the Longer front I reckon that we need a gun mid fielder to get us deep into September more than insurance for an injured ruckman if we get there! But we must get in exchange for him either a first round pick or a good midfielder nothing else.

Maybe Sammmy is on to something here. Weller to Freo in some kind of three way resulting in Fyfe back to us.
There's your family reunion only its not at the Saints.
Jaxons quote on SS says "families come together at the Saints", not sure how that suggests we're shipping anyone out....

Is Hugh Goddard's brother draft age yet??

My sources tell me Ameet's brother, Rohit, is joining the Saints as a mail clerk.

Mystery solved.
