Does anyone know if there is anything to the Herald Sun saying in today's edition that Nathan Wright "could seek a fresh start"?

Knowing nothing else it might make sense given the number of players we have able to roll through the front half at the moment.

That surprises me. Can you please post the quote?

I hate other teams!
He's had a series of knee injuries though.. If only there was someone on this thread that specialised in that sort of thing...
Right..... So no to Alex Johnson, but still a big yes to JOM......

If he's done enough to get us a second rounder i'm happy.

If we're after a 3rd tall defender, lets go for Alex Johnson..... He's an absolute gun when fit

Now, you see what i did there..... Swap '3rd tall defender' for 'midfielder' & then swap Alex Johnson's name for Jaeger O'Meara & it still sounds just as ridiculous IMHO
Um, Alex Johnson has been injured a lot. A lot.

Silly suggestion.

I don't get to see much of Sandy so could anyone update me on Nick Coughlan's progress. Could he step into the backline next year? It seems the list managers are looking to bring in an experienced player to bridge the gap until Goddard and Coughlan are ready.

My brother is mates with Wright, and I can confirm that in the first half of this season, he was (not surprisingly) frustrated at the lack of opportunities. In particular, he was disappointed that Richo couldn't provide a specific area that he needed to improve on to get into the team. So maybe there is a lingering issue for him there. But given that he was given such a good run at it (to the point where he was continuing to get games despite low numbers), I would have thought it a bit unusual if he were to leave now.
