“Quite clearly we think he’s a second round selection in this year’s draft,” Dodoro said.

“Melbourne is fairly adamant that they don’t want to give up this year’s second round selection and have offered their future second round selection"

It has also been reported that campaigner has a new definition in the 2017 Oxford Dictionary.

Campaigner: A person who may c u next Tuesday, also known as Adrian Dodoro.
It's tight but I can see why Essendon are pushing for next year's first.

With Hibberd, Melksham, Lewis and possibly Rockliff in the Melbourne side they should improve and be making the finals next year. Therefore that 2nd rounder will be further back.

If we got the Hawks first this year in our deal it wouldn't look anywhere near a good as next year's. Smart from Dodo IMO.

The difference between what's likely to be pick 30ish, and pick 32-34 is not that significant that you haggle for 2 weeks. He's just a campaigner.

But it's still Melbourne..... o_O:huh:

No guarantees that they finish higher than 10th again IMHO

Melb have traded this year's 1st pick in the ND to GCS?

If so, doesn't that mean they can't trade this year's 2nd rd pick (to Ess for Hibberd), according to AFL rules?

Is this right,?
