I reckon Adelaide are still in challenge mode. WC losing Nick Nat for the year puts them back and Geelong are a concern. Too many guys gone or close to the end for me and their really have to have Danger playing career best footy to stay up. Boris and Bartel are gone you would think and they are looking less likely to add talent now.
Agree that Geelong can go either way. Concern for Pies is their coach.

Dons will he competitive because of Wooshas influence.

Deledio didn't play this year so if he can get on the park he's going to be a massive help. Their winning percentage is massively better with him in the team.

He played 11 games and they did win more with him but who says he plays more next year? The tigers will be rubbish. I reckon they are one of 4 who cant make it.

Just in regards to the Hawks desperation to land Tom Mitchell and JOM.

Has there ever been another club trade away the b&f winner and the runner up a few weeks after the b&f??

I know neither are young but i cant recall another club ever doing that.?
Saw this asked on twitter on the weekend. It has happened once before.

Fitzroy in 1996 when the club didnt exist the next year...

We are going to have a very interesting forwardline if we are going to run billings, steele, gresham and weller in there as half-forwards and small forwards.
All really mid-forwards, but they are all going to have to be hitting the scoreboard if that is where they are lining up.
But goddam all those names are exciting, xfactor

You do realise just like in any sport you use the term "starting on the field/court" to show the value of said player compared to bench player?
He just wants to be contrary. Leave the old fella be.

Lets just hope the Hawks fold soon.

I went to the Semi Final this year and saw about 30,000 three year member scarves..what happens when they get bored of not winning?
in the 80s to early 90s they made 8 grand finals in 9 yrs. Then just a few yrs later were broke and nearly merged with the Dees.
Their supporters are pretty good when there up and about. They drop off quicker than a lepers finger when they go bad though.

They left a 3Qtr time or shortly after. Of 6 Haw supporters sitting in from of me, only one stayed to applaud the team that had delivered them three premierships in a row off the ground.

Yes they were disappointed the run was over but how about recognising what a successful side they have been. And now they'll never see Mitchell or Lewis in Hawks colours again. Hope they get some wood for their trophy cabinet next year.
