If no one knows a thing about where he's going then it's likely either us or Sydney. And given Sydney have a heap of midfield talent both young and old I don't see them needing to take the risk on him when they'd be better off spending their resources on rebuilding their back line.

Fair point - if hes coming to us no doubt weve told him to zip it because the afl will have gandalf outside waverly "YOU SHALL NOT PASS" if they get word of it

North have a really good fitness bloke don't they?

Maybe sneaky chance to go to Arden St - do they still have tin sheds are facilities?

edit: I think I recall him (fitness guy) getting poached for an OS gig...

What rumour was that? better be good ;)
hmmmm you've really got me interested now
Rumour is JD had a long chat with JOM about coming to Hawthorn would be in his best interests for both his footy career and also his media career post footy
Was mentioned on the draft and free agency thread, and also on the North board
One poster there said its a done deal JOM to Hawks

If O'Meara and Mitchell come in, who comes off the list to accommodate them? Bearing in mind we need to clear at 3 additional spots for the draft. So a minimum of 5 (more likely 6 or even 7) faces need to go.

Brad Hill <-- Probable trade.
Angus Litherland <-- Probable trade bait.
Jermaine Miller-Lewis <-- Probable delisting
Lachlan Langford <-- Probable delisting.
Matthew Spangher <-- Probable delisting.
Zac Webster <-- Possible delisting
Jack Fitzpatrick <-- Possible delisting
Luke Surman <-- Possible delisting
Tim O'Brien <-- Possible trade bait.
Ryan Schoenmakers <-- Possible trade bait.
Shaun Burgoyne <-- Possible retirement
Jarryd Roughead <-- Will go on the LTI list at the very least.
Will Langford <-- Likely safe
Alex Woodward <-- You would anticipate that he would be given another year.
Josh Gibson <-- Possible retirement (unlikely)
Luke Hodge <-- Possible retirement (unlikely)

Surman and Schoey ain't going anywhere. Close to putting O'Brien in that category too.

About right I think. I don't think TOB, Schoenmakers, Surman or Fitzpatrick would go unless it was for a ready made big in return. Bigs, at least fit and able ones are where we are most short. I have a funny feeling Hodge might retire.

Surman is MUST keep.

Not sure if the club will want to delist Lach Langford given we are bringing in his brother, don't want to upset the family do we?

Schoey is a must keep, we have missed his stability and ability to make a contest this year.

Woodward has to be close to being a senior footballer? He is dominating the VFL, seems levels above it so you would think they have hopes he will be a very good senior footballer.

TOB Definitely tradable for me, same with Gus.

If JOM and Mitchell are in the side next year. Langford will be playing at Box Hill.

Its all good and great for JOM to say he wants to come to Hawthorn, but what are we going to give to the suns for him? He isnt a free agent, and although injury prone he's valuable.

Realistically we should have pick 15-18.. and what we get for Hill. This is probably just enough to get one of either Mitchell OR JOM.

I hate to play the part of Buzz-Killington, but anyone celebrating the potential news of them both wanting to come better start thinking of which.club.we can trade Breust, Burton or Isaac Smith to, to gain the required currency to land both.

Errr.. that's why the hawks wanted future trades so much. .. to be able to trade for players using those privileges. GC will want an established player with that future first rounder also and unfortunately whitex is a free agent so if he chose to leave then we cant use him. So its between
Langford
Duryea
Tob
And as I understand couple of clubs are circling sicily and lovell for either swap trading or sweetners.
