Any doubts Lewis wasn't headed to the Dees just dispelled..

Hawthorn Have Cut Jordan Lewis Out Of Their Twitter Photo

It would seem that Hawthorn are bitter about the circumstances surrounding Jordan Lewis’s impending move to Melbourne.

They’ve gotten someone to remove Lewis from their best and fairest runner up from the header photo on their membership Twitter account.

This is the new photo:

And this is what the old photo looked like pre-Photoshop job.

Some frayed relationships at the Family Club, apparently.

From what's been said, he went in with the expectation that he'd still be the future captain after Hodge whilst Hawthorn were of the opinion that this season might be his last/can't guarantee another contract after this one.
That is a bit unrealistic on his part given he is 30 years old.

That's a legit Photoshop job. Completely cutting a player out of a photo isn't easy to do.
Wonder if Mitchell was originally in that photo too.

This sure is one crazy type of trade period so far.
I think that the AFL clubs have a long way to go yet to understand and use trades properly.
As much as we AFL fans dont like the concept, other sports such as soccer, basketball etc know how it works and have adapted well to it.
I can see a pile of trades failing to get through because of too-late last minute panic type attempts.

My guess with Rockliff is he has already agreed to go to a club for a surprisingly late pick. Brisbane are trying their hardest to shop him around for a better deal, but desperately want him gone. Clubs aren't biting or are offering shit deals like Greenwood or Dunn.

I believe the club he's agreed to move to is Adelaide.

Maybe I'm just hoping
I was just about to post this. Maybe we low balled the Lions and they're trying to up the deal. Damn odd situation though.

Are we the only club that has paid overs for a GWS player (Hampton)? They seem to let them go cheap as chips (most probably in exchange for not bidding on academy players).
Id honestly say yes.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'll reckon we'll regret picking up both Seed and Hampton, an

It seems that way doesn't it. Hampton should have been a no brainer for a low pick. Not getting a game and didn't look like it who wanted to go home.

It's a really good point.
Whats out second rounder this year going to be? Late 30s after academy picks etc? It's an interesting one. I still think Hampton offers a lot and could fit in to our best 22 next year. But at this point we certainly haven't come close to getting any ROI.

We had Noble is it any surprise?
I think he did some things well but in the trade week he tried to be too fair.
