hope everyone realises it ain't easy landing a 'big fish'... people take every bit of information like we are going to land every player mentioned. Its just information being passed on we have no control of the actual trades. Relax.
You're a book definition bandwith thief.

And a semi-fraudulent inside info conveyance.

I think Brad needs to prove next year that he is willing to play the younger guys to refresh our team too. Brad has been extremely stubborn in who he chooses to play (especially in the midfield) so I would think most player managers would be looking to get younger players to teams where they are pretty much guaranteed game time.

Even thinking about Hrovat - he really should choose Carlton if he wants to play every week. Carlton are about to lose Gibbs and have a midfield of Murphy and Cripps followed by a bunch of C graders in Curnow, Graham, Buckley, Whiley, Boekhorst, Lamb, Armfield etc

We have lost Wells and Dal from our midfield but have Clarke ready to go, Jacobs coming back from injury and then even the potential for LMac or Atley to come in. There isnt a clear open spot for him at all.

Until our list managers put a clear strategy out to the AFL world of what we are going to do there arent going to be many younger players lining up at Arden St. If Brad doesnt change it up big time next year I think we will continue to struggle to attract young talent.

The above is ok if we just want to go to the draft and develop our own but it wont work if we want to trade
Agree with first paragraph and I'm positive Brad will blood youth next season. People forget that how he young the team was that he developed early in his tenure. He has strayed too far from the path in recent seasons but the justification was reasonable at the time- he and the football department incorrectly thought, like many supporters including myself, that we were in strong contention for a premiership.

However our midfield is average at best and was last seen getting killed by a solid Adelaide midfield. The potential improvements to the middle you listed are cancelled out by Wells and Dal Santos departures. Hrovat should be good enough (B grade standard atm) to improve our midfield otherwise we shouldn't be interested. Yes we have a better midfield than Carlton but that should be a selling point rather than a deterrent. Players will play better in a better team.

Also not many teams have attracted young talent.
Richmond-->Prestia (Paid overs). Hawthorn--> Mitchell (tick) maybe O'Meara (destroyed team in process). St Kilda--> Steele (tick). Maybe Fremantle with McCarthy and Hamlin (helped by 'go home' factor).
Getting young talent is easier said than done. North Melbourne could end up with the best value young talent if Ahern fulfills his potential.

That is just awful. I know we have a tendency to "get bent over" but this would be akin to sticking a barbed wire dildo up our own arse.

Might as well come clean with what you supposedly heard.

We just lost cabin pressure.
It's true.
BFNAAK chose to go play somewhere else when had the chance to fulfill every one of our dreams.

Proven to be puffer-fish at best and could have 30 cracks at finishing 3rd in our bnf and would not get close.

Gibbo is improving at a faster rate, has better endurance and can play multiple roles.

you can always block me so you don't see any post :)
I don't use the ignore function, and I certainly wouldn't be starting with you.

I will just be purchasing a larger data pack ;)

I was at a few Geelong games this year where Caddy had less than 10 possessions, so I watched him to work out why and came to the conclusion that he is too slow- exactly the type of player we don't need. He might do better with more time on ball but he wasn't getting it at Geelong with Dangerwood, and if we played him in our midfield it would not be any quicker than it is now

nah some posters will just complain if the trade doesn't happen
The key to attracting players is offering long term contracts at big money and (if the players aren't free agents) promising high draft picks to get them; the danger is that you overpay for average players- refer to Collingwood recruiting Levi Greenwood or 'Geelong recruiting Josh Caddy. I am pleased we are hanging onto our early draft picks and looking for young players with potential with our later picks

I feel angry at myself for listening to trade radio all week.
I have it on in the background at work so I don't really listen to it intently but it is a waste, only interesting part is the interviews and completed trade announcements which you could get the gist from just their twitter.
