The key to attracting players is offering long term contracts at big money and (if the players aren't free agents) promising high draft picks to get them; the danger is that you overpay for average players- refer to Collingwood recruiting Levi Greenwood or 'Geelong recruiting Josh Caddy. I am pleased we are hanging onto our early draft picks and looking for young players with potential with our later picks
JB using the term 'aggressive reset' would mean we are looking to change our list substantially and we currently havent done anything to suggest we are doing that.
Going into the last day of trade period says to me that we are working around the periphery with what we are looking to do which is fine most years but this year I was really hoping for a much more aggressive approach. I really hope we end up tomorrow with a top 20 pick somehow or it doesnt make much sense to me.
