The key to attracting players is offering long term contracts at big money and (if the players aren't free agents) promising high draft picks to get them; the danger is that you overpay for average players- refer to Collingwood recruiting Levi Greenwood or 'Geelong recruiting Josh Caddy. I am pleased we are hanging onto our early draft picks and looking for young players with potential with our later picks
I dont mind that we havent necessarily brought in someone but I am currently disappointed we havent been on the front foot a bit more in trading out a couple of guys that have stagnated or arent in our long term plans. I dont mean our scraps but someone of the ilk of Atley for example who would have good currency and allow us to get a bit higher in the draft

JB using the term 'aggressive reset' would mean we are looking to change our list substantially and we currently havent done anything to suggest we are doing that.

Going into the last day of trade period says to me that we are working around the periphery with what we are looking to do which is fine most years but this year I was really hoping for a much more aggressive approach. I really hope we end up tomorrow with a top 20 pick somehow or it doesnt make much sense to me.

Same guy that tweeted Zorko will be traded to North and that we would hear more about it last Friday.

Pretty sure these guys are just bigfooty posters from other clubs who are having a laugh like we were doing yesterday with the fake twitter handles
I strongley disagree that doesn't happen :straining:

Prestia,Cotchin,Martin is a good midfield.
Keep going:
Grigg, conca, Houli, Lambert, Ellis (both of them) and miles, who was dropped a few times this year.

Absolute shit truck midfield, there's a reason why we continuely embarrass them.

Cotchin could be a Brownlow Medalist very soon.
I know, and I think he'll go down as one of the not so good ones. Just Watch him. All he does is run around behind players getting the cheap handball, under more pressure, and then butcher it going forward. Dont rate at all!!

hope everyone realises it ain't easy landing a 'big fish'... people take every bit of information like we are going to land every player mentioned. Its just information being passed on we have no control of the actual trades. Relax.
Couldn't have said it any better myself, and i'm sure the negations this year put us in good stead for next year.
