Hearing that Hrovat to be confirmed sometime tomorrow. Future 3rd/4th apparently in play...
Just thought id put this here :D. Mail was correct to a tee .

Also don't be surprised if Pickett and WHE are packaged to us. Not sure on the picks involved for that but hearing we are trying..

Black to Port Adelaide for pick 103 and McKenzie to Adelaide for 107 or Gold Coast for 98. Picket and WHE to North for not much as if they're really trying to get Delidio they'll need the cap space-plus their list is being cut as well.

Players nominating 'preferred clubs' should be stuffed off.
Yes when did this start happening. Its the biggest danger to equalisation in my mind. If someone wants to head home to melbourne that club should be able to accept the best offer available to them from a melbourne based club

I know some of those guys have very little currency, but surely we could have at least traded Hansen/Thompson and Swallow in order to upgrade our early 30's picks to late teens/early 20's?
Why would other clubs do that? Trading has to be a two way agreement. If they are expendable to us then they are probably not going to convince other clubs to trade down earlier in the draft to get them.

If we had pick 20 would you downgrade to pick 33 to get Hrovat? I certainly wouldn't.

I think I'm disappointed because I have no idea of our direction any more and based on delisting the 4 and the snippets from JB, I assumed we would be really on the front foot to get us out of a middle of the road ladder position. We can only do that through draft or trade and I just hope we get some more picks tomorrow.

I agree trades are tough but to be honest I would have been ok to let go of a couple of others at slight unders to really attack this midfielders draft.

I'm hoping we see a couple of picks tomorrow
There's about 20 trades to be done by tomorrow, including pick swaps.

We have added and will add more talent with our picks. This trade and draft period is not the test for me. The "aggressive reset" will be seen (or not) in how much opportunity our talent is now given to develop.
We have been too late to introduce young talents in recent times IMO.

How Vickers Willis and Mountford didn't get a senior game this year, yet we played a clearly finished Dal Santo and Petrie repeatedly, is quite astonishing.

It would take a complete change of Scott's mentality to achieve this 'aggressive reset'.

I'm hopeful we can, but far from convinced we have the right players and coaches to successfully bring number 5. I think we might need a bigger shake up and slightly disappointed we haven't been more active (so far) in this period to achieve that.
