nnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooo
I've opened the big Andersen can of worms conversation haven't I. To be fair I've met him spent time with him at work functions "our work is a NM sponsor". He's a great bloke i don't hate we took him, but Hawks smashed us on that deal he was worth around pick 30.
Ahern is worth 30-40 maybe..

they want Petrie due to Nic Nat not playing in 2017, if eagles cant find a replacement during trade period Drew is on the list.
Yeah, just putting two things together that aren't necessarily related. But if one of the motivations for both Mitchell and Petrie is to have an assistant coach for 2018 onwards, then they would be better served by getting Mitchell and picking up a VFL ruckman instead of Petrie.

CALLUM TWOMEY ON ESSENDON USING PICK 1 FOR BIDS

AFL.com.au's draft expert Cal Twomey said on NAB AFL Trade Radio he thinks it's unlikely the Bombers would use the first pick to bid for Jack Bowes (Gold Coast academy) or Will Setterfield (GWS academy). After what Essendon has been through the past few years, the publicity boost would be beneficial for the Bombers.

He also pointed out that Bowes and Setterfield haven't impressed as much as Hugh McCluggage and Andy McGrath have this year.

Wasn't trying to change your opinion, just pointing out that it was wrong.
my opinion is different to yours that does not make it wrong, it may be wrong, but we wont know until it is fact and not opinion. Everyone opinions are correct and mine generally more often then others. ;)

It's appropriate that Chris Pelchen is publishing articles as the **** has a head for radio and a voice for the newspapers.

Looks like North are into Hrovat now. This forms part of the new annual strategy at the club: Step 1) Look at who won the Premiership; Step 2) Find out who is their 30th ranked player; Step 3) Recruit said 30th ranked player; Step 4) Blindly select 30th ranked player on a weekly basis in starting 22 despite a complete lack of match fitness or form.

PLAYER AGENT BEN WILLIAMS

Speaking on NAB AFL Trade Radio is manager Ben Williams of Players Ink. He said:
  • Hawthorn defender Kaiden Brand is close to signing a two-year deal with the club, knocking back interest from other teams.
  • Hawks star Shaun Burgoyne took a pay cut to play on next year.
  • Collingwood defender Jack Frost will sign a three-year deal at the Brisbane Lions

Harvey will never be an assistant coach because of the classless way he ended his mates careers. Loved watching him but knew he had unsuccessful written all over him. Selfish player always. Stern look to anyone that disputes that. We could have traded dal to collingwood. Harvey should have shut his mouth. He was a potential coach killer like rockliff. Why are none of these players told the reality during the season? Loved to watch them play in their day. Day was gone at least a year ago. Scott did them a favor of trying for a flag given our lack of high draft picks. Injuries came and the the old stagers waited for young blokes to chase mistakes made. They did their best in earlier years but failed in later years and maybe party of that was failure to see reality. Clean out will be beneficial. Only want players coming in to feel the same. Mcmillan captain for mine.

Now that would have been a legacy that elevated Boomer into immortal demi-god status.

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH ISAAC HEENEY?

His manager Ben Williams is on NAB AFL Trade Radio right now. The Sydney Swans young gun's contract will expire at the end of next season and he will be highly sought after if the Swans don't extend him soon.

Williams said contract talks have not yet begun. He expects them to begin either over the summer or early next year.

Other than Nathan Fyfe (who will also enter the last season of his current deal), Heeney will likely be the most sought after player at the end of next year. There could be some nervous times ahead for Swans fans.

I wouldn't mind giving up a player like swallow for a 2nd or 3rd rounder if it meant that we could then do another deal using a combo of picks with gws for one or two of their outsiders. Means we could then keep our earliest picks and bring in unused first and second rounders from a couple of years ago. Ahern is an interesting case, do you take the risk?

Also removes one of the slow mids too so we don't get the ziebs, cunners, swallow triumvirate in the middle anymore.

Whoever was talkingon sen said he was a jet, very silky.
But has done his knee - twice and will not be able to play next year
According to GWS posters he has the attitude and work ethic to match his talent. Seems to have everything our midfield doesn't (speed, endurance, vision and uses it well), just a shame about the 17 knee recos.
