does anyone know if we will actually get Ahern?
Nobody ******* knows anything. We are just all guessing. All of us are total shit and we should ******* hate ourselves for posting over 11,000 times before our club has done anything vaguely related to player movement. Anyone claiming they have sources that know something is either cock teasing this entire board, lying to **** with our heads, or absolutely has correct sources and has the right information, but that won't be proven correct until later, so they're a cock teasing bastard.

I hate trade period. It is the most over-reported, underwhelming time of the AFL calendar, and yet every year, I wait with bated breath near my phone, checking Twitter every half an hour, even though I know nothing has happened, nothing will ever happen, and the slow, inexorable march of time will doubtless claim my life, your life, and the lives of everyone you know and care about long after any of the player movement has ceased and the Earth has careened into the Sun's orbit, erasing any proof that anything ever existed on this ******* hell planet.

The Wells compensation pick should have been higher.

Take all of the above and now imagine Wood never signed his contract with us and wanted out....

The only thing worse than Trade Week(s) is the end of Trade Week(s).

There is literally one other day of news (the draft) for 5 months.

I love it, I actually prefer these 2 weeks to the season.

Yes I am aware I'm unwell.

wouldn't do that, we need 2 for 1 deals coming in not out.

don't need to being losing more list space to be filled with later picks

maybe next years 3rd rounder for Hrovat
Dogs list spots are pretty tight, a future pick like your third would be perfect, or a pick upgrade from the 30s to the 40s or 30s to the 20s would do it. Doubt we would want a straight pick for Hrovat even if Hamling leaves as we'll only use three draft picks.

Hope he goes to the Roos, he'd be a great fit for your midfield (not necessarily making it quicker, but his smarts more than make up for it) and much better than watching him waste his career away at Carlton.

Was injured during the last few VFL finals so I feel he'll be even cheaper than if his pretty great VFL form had followed through into Footscray's final games.

Nathan Hrovat trade: Carlton, North Melbourne in the race for talented Western Bulldogs youngster

http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/nat...r/news-story/2b68d6f2a551287fc062594bb39e0e47

THERE is a two-horse race developing for Western Bulldogs youngster Nathan Hrovat, with Carlton and North Melbourne set to do battle for the talented midfielder.

Hrovat, 22, is out of contract at the Bulldogs following a frustrating season that was plagued by injury.

He played only four senior matches in the club’s premiership campaign, missing the entirety of the finals series with a shoulder problem.

A host of Victorian clubs, as well as Gold Coast, are understood to have shown an interest in Hrovat, who was taken with Pick 21 in the 2012 draft.

However, his manager Peter Lenton suggested on Wednesday that the race for his signature had come down to two.

“There’s genuine interest for him,” Lenton told Trade Radio.

“I’ve had really good open conversations with (Bulldogs list manager) Jason McCartney right through the year, given Nathan’s gone through uncontracted.

“We’re very happy just to keep things open for the moment and I’m happy to disclose Carlton and North Melbourne have had good chats with him.

“He’d be happy with either of those.”

Hrovat, a 175cm mid-forward who was likened to Sam Mitchell in his draft year, has played 30 games for the Western Bulldogs over the last four seasons.

Rockliff averaged 34 disposals, 1 goal a game and 8 tackles per game in in his last 12 games(10 losses/2 wins) at AFL level.

Is he that much of a d..k that we or any other club won't consider him?

What has he actually done?
