When are you going back to school dude
Whats the matter with that post? I agree 100%

PA has realised they are paying elite money for an only average player and now want out... If HH is worth pick 10-15, then Swallow is worth about the same.

in terms he has one year to run on his contract, he has zero trade value (could cost us to move him on, remember Jade Rawlings and the bullfrogs), may be needed with Drew gone if we get injuries to key forwards, could as unlikely as it seems be a surprise packet in 2017. Basically if a club comes to us with a pick before 45 I would grab it and run, if not it aint no skin of our nose to keep him as a rookie for the last year of his contract. Maybe to get a transfer and play seniors he may be happy to cancel his current contract and move on with life at a new club.

I am probably over caring what happens here.
He would serve a purpose as an insurance policy for Waite. If he plays good footy in 2017 it can only be of benefit to us.
A top 40 pick in this years draft though and we'd drive Aaron ourselves to his next club.

I reckon Aaron would be torn on taking another years wage and resigning himself to WAFL football for 2017, or giving it a hot crack.
And by giving it a hot crack perhaps he should do that at North. Waite injury history and Majak's inexperience could easily benefit Aaron next year. Up to him.

So not wanting to pay 750k and a 10-15 pick for someone of hartletts calibre is childish? Well I'll be...
Not about that comment - just your overall carry on.

PS - I wouldn't trade anything above a third rounder for that fraud

Have a look at post #38 (Majak Daw) by Tas on this thread. Better support staff and resources maybe, but not more.

Dont know the footy spend at other clubs, but yes - perhaps better not more.

Was a great bit of info tho - props to Tas for that.

I'm thinking that spend does not necessarily have to be more permanent staff - perhaps spend extra money on this years review of football all round - with perhaps a bit of a focus on our development settings in particular.

Just saw an article on FB from the age to say the DW probably wont make a decision until after the B & F and also brad McKenzie may also be used as trade bait. They also speculated about black going to Freo or WC
Didn't Brad say on Talking Footy that he expected Wellsy to let him know his decision once trade week opened? He said trade week opened after the grand final.

Surely we are targeting some players that we stay interested in. Need an a grader or 2
If we dont alot of members wont resign on knowing we will be in for a long season. Think we have to find a couple while keeping our picks.

Not even that getting pick 5 this year for our first next year and going in with 5 and 11 and trying to make our own a grader just like Bont or a Patrick Cripps the recruiting staff need to ruddy pull a gem out or we won't be any good next year.

Totally agree i believe we either target players if we are still trying to contend. If not and it is a full rebuild trade goldy for 2 picks and go in the draft fully loaded and try and snag 2 or 3 potential stars.

wouldn't it be a bitch if next year is the first time in a long time we end up with a really low first round pick, and we traded it for pick 5 this year.

Unless our injuries are as bad again as they were this year I can't see us finishing below all of Essendon, Brisbane, Carlton, Gold Coast, Fremantle etc. Our senior core of players are still decent and should get some good value out of Clarke, EVW, Wood etc next year.

Buckley has gone complete Vossy if they get Wells on the above deal.

Pick 11 & 12 will be ok though.

Shame our midfield will be amongst the worst 4 in the comp for the forseeable future unless we buy a young stud from somewhere.
