Former Carlton player Josh Bootsma will also play for Peel and Ugle said the 23-year-old was playing well enough to warrant another opportunity at AFL level.

"He's been magnificent this year and hopefully he gets another crack at it," Ugle said.

The Blues sacked Bootsma in 2014 after a string of off-field issues. He played 14 AFL games in three seasons after he was drafted with pick No.22 in the 2011 NAB AFL draft.

Yep he left not long after went to a club that won a premiership and then came back.
Ha ha!! Like I said back then "Pedestrian"! He berated a member for daring to suggest something might possible, couldn't do it himself, and it took another bloke to "make it happen"

I've wondered how much of the recent 'amateur hour' claims can be directed this way too. :sternlook

Damian Barrett has revealed Collingwood looms as a likely destination for out of favour GWS forward Will Hoskin-Elliott.

"There's a lot of interest in the GWS guys who can't get regular games," he said on the Friday Rub.

"Will Hoskin-Elliott, Collingwood has had its eyes on him for a long time."

The 23-year-old forward has played 50 games for GWS and kicked 41 goals after being drafted with pick four in the 2011 AFL draft.

"There's nothing I'm hearing suggesting he won't be at the Magpies next year," Barrett said.

The Magpies are already in Hoskin-Elliott's lineage - his great grandfather Charlie Norris played in a Collingwood premiership back in 1910.

After listerning to SEN tonight, there is someone or two in the mix. Seems like they're sticking to the formula of a couple draft picks and a couple of free trades.
Here's is some of the it off the twitter feed:

Brad Scott: Contracted players are just nominating clubs and acting as free agents, all the other clubs back off #CoachesBox
Brad Scott would like to see clubs not be put off by going after a player just because he's nominated a club #CoachesBox
Brad Scott: There's more people coming around to players being traded in contract without consent so long as the terms are kept #CoachesBox
Brad Scott: I never had a discussion with anyone about the Lions job #CoachesBox
Brad Scott: The only dissapointing thing was I had to explain to the players the Lions talk was just scuttlebutt
Brad Scott: I speak to Boomer still, I made a commitment to him I'd tell him the truth when I knew #CoachesBox
Brad Scott on Boomer: Ideally we'd like to have waited to announce it but the club was afraid it would get out early #CoachesBox
Brad Scott: Coaches don't retire players, players retire players #CoachesBox
Brad Scott: I told Drew and Boomer the performance of the team was going to play a big part in their futures at the club #CoachesBox
Brad Scott: We'd be having the same conversation about Boomer if he was 43 and had played 500 games #CoachesBox
Brad Scott: It's not a question if Boomer had another year left in him, it doesn't fit with the club

Brad Scott on Wells: It's on public record there is a really strong two-year offer there for him #CoachesBox
Brad Scott: We want to keep Daniel but we respect his rights as a free agent #CoachesBox
Brad Scott on if North are potential finalists next year: Well it all depends on how much everyone else improves #CoachesBox
Brad Scott says North has a good foundation from the draft in recent years and has confidence in development #CoachesBox
