You don't get 'father/sons' for virtually nothing any more. Still have to pay "market rate" rate for them...

On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app
You can still pick them up for one round lower than they are worth with the 20% discount if you have the pick available. We screwed the LMAC one up by letting the whole world know we were going to draft him seeing he was over in IDAHO training with the team. So unprofessional.
Collingwood on the other hand is playing down there desperation for Brown and Daicos saying they will not pay overs for them.

We sure know that paying pick 8 for LMac but the point is you still get them if they're any good.
I'd like to know who we would of taken if we hadn't used that first pick on Lmac. Would we of picked up Patrick Cripps.

Still think it will prove a good draft year for us with Lmac, Dumont and BBB.

Lots of million going out, with no million going in, off what I've read.

So I hope far more happening behind the scenes, let alone if we "might" get Wells compo, and use draft picks, and apparently it makes it all better.

We need to be ultra aggressive - i'm confident there's no "cliff" etc, that's bullshit, but we can't be conservative just knowing that if we want to win a flag (i'm not interested in just "making finals"). We need to bring in gun players, and we have the $$ to do it.

Outside Tarrant, Brown and Wood i'd put them all on the table - trade hard, can't rely on just young picks and cross our fingers :thumbsu:

Exactly I've said it before besides a handful of players I would put them all on the trade table the list is very very very ordinary

Don't want Motlop. Reminds me of Daniel, super talented but lazy and selfish and doesn't go when its his turn.
I'd back in our 'elite standards' to turn him around.

I almost typed that with a straight face.

So whatever we offer is irrelevant if we front load it over the next 2 years.

If it fails who cares? Weweren't winning the flag in 17 or 18 anyway. By the time our kids are ready we have a star on year 3 money which will be 50% of year 1 and 2.
I'd care. No one really knows wtf is going to happen with the players union & the AFL at odds with each other over the percentage the players will receive on future revenue. There's talk some clubs will have to offload players, while others believe clubs will be forced to overpay list cloggers.

Dont get me wrong, if North can pinch a star like Shiel or Heeney for a mill a year I'd be stoked. Not sure I'd want us throwing massive money (let alone years) at unproved talent.

All I have been hearing for the past month is how dare Scott not renew Boomers contract, yet apparently he is incapable of change and needs to grow some balls.

That group is a large part of the reason why we aren't a top quality team - slow and average/poor skills (Cunners handball excluded)

We can certainly improve inside. Whilst granted Scott appears incapable of change, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't happen.
If Scott doesn't grow some balls and change the setup in the middle - we are in a world of pain.

Spitta should be traded or playing reserves.
Jack should play forward.

Build the onball division around Cunners and froggy
