I actually do not regard Prestia as a proven A-grade midfielder.

Who has Prestia played on and beat??

Prestia might be a good midfielder but he is unproven. How many times has Prestia been tagged?

What has Prestia done seriously???

How is Prestia going to be the difference to win a premiership??
Well he had 42 touches going head to head with Rory Sloane against Adelaide as a 20 year old for one, got the 3 votes in a losing side ahead of Dangefield who had 27.

Top 20 finish in the 2014 Brownlow as a 21 year old, averaging over 27 touches and finishing ahead of guys such as Dustin Martin, Luke Hodge, Brett Deledio, Dan Hanneberry & Nathan Jones.

39 touches and 11 tackles against Sydney just this year.

He's more proven that whoever it is we'd be taking at pick 6, I'll tell you that much.

Take a look at prestias exposed form.
He is a regular high Bnf finisher at his club with consistent quality numbers on the board. He wins his own ball as well as links up. He lays tackles. He has the best part of a decade of footy ahead of him

If he came over, the reality is he is our third best midfielder right away, maybe second

He was pick 9 in 2010, 6 years ago and he has to go down in value!!!

No doubt you have no idea!!!

I would love Prestia went to Hawthorn, it would make my ******* day!!!
Why does he go down in value?

He has played good footy. If you think there's 16 better footballers in this or pretty much any years draft alone, your kidding yourself

It might seem that way at first glance, but we've had him in the crosshairs for a looong time.
Couldn't give a shit who've we've had in the crosshairs. We are shit at recruiting.

I've seen enough of this guy to know whilst a very good player, he ain't no A grader and we will be paying that price a) to obtain the bloke and b) his wages. Desperate times at Punt Road.

He does not go down in value. Just about every player goes down in value from 2010 draft to 2016 because they are older.

There do not have to be 16 better footballers. !6 footballers will play longer than Prestia from 2017 regardless of quality.

There could be 16 footballers equal to Prestia in quality and there are worth far more because Prestia has given up 6 years of his career already

Prestia give us nothing. Another Chaplin, Grigg, Houli that wastes our ******* time!!!!

Rance needs to get his head out of his arse and stop overrating the list and wake up.

If Rance wants to win premierships go to GWS!!!

Thompson, Cornes and plenty others still think obviously there must be a lot of dickheads still overrating the list.

Some need to have a cold shower and realise they are not that ******* good!!!! Why would they be they have achieved **** all!!!
That's ridiculous

If I walked past the Ghost and Rance on the street, I would thank Rance for his efforts at the RFC and shake Jimmy Jess's hand because he won a premiership for Richmond!!

Reiwoldt and Rance are just like any other player at Richmond, personal accolades mean nothing, or going on TV means jack shit to me, salaries earn't count for zilch. Winning premierships is all what it is about!!

Does not matter what player does for Richmond in a premiership year, I think they deserve at least one shout of a beer from me!! You could be a player that just peels oranges on the bench as an emergency but if they are part of the team in the year that wins a premiership for the club they deserve a beer and are a champion of the club!!

You say we're shit at recruiting, and then shoot down the idea of recruiting a very good player in the same breath.

As for his wages, I doubt it would be anything overly exorbitant, and it's gotta go to someone anyway to spend 95% of the cap.

But by all means, let's all jump back aboard the Richmond carousel of hitting the draft hard and seeing where that gets us, instead of trying to do something while we've got 4-5 of the most talented players to have played for Richmond in the last 30 years all in their mid 20's. I'll see you back here in 7 years for the next one.

More about Prestia comments. Have no issues with a Rance leaving for flags.

Well how is Prestia helping us on the path to a premiership as Kane Cornes said on AFL360 despite rating Hardwick?

If Prestia cannot aid us getting to a premiership I do not want to know!!!!

I agree with Cornes and others like Dunstall, we need to hit the drag tot get a lot more talent in as Thompson the coach suggested because we do not have near the talent coming in on the list required to contend let alone win a premiership in a realistic timeframe.

Just like Grigg, just like Houli, just like Chaplin and Maric, Presita does not help us getting the talent in to win a premiership!!!

Imagine the talent we would of had if Angus Graham and Browne where still our rucks!!! We could have had Bontempelli and whoever else!!!!!

Prestia is suited to a side who has great depth and needs top end talent to tske itself from top 4 to gebuine contender .
RFC is in the complete opposite position, in case people advocating his recruitmrnt havent realised there is a real chance we will finish bottom 4 not top 4. Whilst the issue is depth not top end. The club has as good a top end (5) as any club . 6 -22 on the other hand is of real concern.
The average playing career IIRC is still around 7 years , whilst it is reasonably common for small inside mids to succomb to injuries in the 100-200 btacket and as such have form drop off and a very small window where they are near peak form . RFC and its members of all people should be well aware of this coghlan , foley.
prestia is 24 , 6th year , approx 100 games and is going to take our 6-22 issue to 7-22 and has had somewhat consistant injury issues already.
He has 1-2 years max left in him near his peak and would be 6th in the peaking order at RFC .
it is highly likely when thete is enough depth from recently drafted kids, prestia is going to be beyond his peak.
You shouldn't give up the possibility of gaining a 8 year contributor for this type of player especially where the club is currently at, if you have decent recruiters whom you have faith in.
like talls take longer smalls develop earlier as do there injuries ( generally) , especially inside mids not skirts like boomer.

The club has been courting him for over 16 months. They obviously within the 4 walls thought that our list was nearly there and needed some cream to top us up. We also scream when we want a player and he chooses to go elsewhere eg treloar. We also scream why no top player wants to come to us. Now if we go back on our word with prestia as he has agreed to join us how is that going to help with the other 2. I'm not saying that his worth top 5 6 or whatever i'm just saying you should keep your word even if you made a mistake and face it.
