You say we're shit at recruiting, and then shoot down the idea of recruiting a very good player in the same breath.

As for his wages, I doubt it would be anything overly exorbitant, and it's gotta go to someone anyway to spend 95% of the cap.

But by all means, let's all jump back aboard the Richmond carousel of hitting the draft hard and seeing where that gets us, instead of trying to do something while we've got 4-5 of the most talented players to have played for Richmond in the last 30 years all in their mid 20's. I'll see you back here in 7 years for the next one.
Completely agree, especially when GWS will be a juggernaut for the next 10 years with all their talent.

Unfortunately no way Ainsworth gets to tigers
We need a tall mid and drafting Rioli last year and possibly Naish next year and throw in Prestia no hope for Ainsworth to get here .
He's a mad tiger supporter too .

Naish is a back flanker, Rioli a half forward and frankly Ainsworth is levels above Rioili and can play in the guts. He is an upgrade on Miles and Prestia and would be our best small forward to.

If Ainsworth is a tigers supporter here he comes, he is so far above Prestia its embarrassing!!

Ainsworth can play small forward when Miles is in the guts and rotate in when
Miles has a break

I think the best outcome for us would be trade our first pick 4-6 to gws for two of there firsts that are between 10-18.
On trade one of those to GC for Prestia and use the other pick in the draft on one of Venables/Berry/Scrimshaw.

have been told vickery could very well be a hawk. it was from a hawks supporter at work, and lets be honest, you wouldnt admit to your own team expressing interest in vickery just for laughs.

the person who told me has been heavily involved in TAC cup, VFL etc and knows a few people, so im keeping an open mind about this one.

Hed be a good traget given whats happened with rhoughie. Just hope they offer enough that we get a semi decent pick. Or firce a trade for their first which will be 17 or 18 no doubt.

Makes sense. With no Roughead for the foreseeable future, they have been playing one key forward short

What I want to know is why are tv shows and newspapers asking Kane Cornes what our club should do?
http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/ri...a/news-story/34a753db0868b51d5e633e80af555fcb

Who on EARTH GIVES A FLYING FROG'S FAT FATOOTI WHAT KANE CORNES THINKS?
FFS.
The problem with asking a footballer what he thinks? You get a footballer's opinion.
Wouldn't still be upset about us ruining his farewell would he?

Interested to see why he replaced Maclure on AFL360, was it due to a Port/Dimma connection?

The article on news.com.au makes total sense and has more footy experts than Cornes commenting on the inappropriateness of getting Prestia.

Really highlights decision makers at Tigerland are killing the club!!!

Been a lotta talk in here about Prestia.
But remember Griff in 7 seasons has played 60 games. He's fine when he's playing and I don't mind the idea of Lennon as a main target in the fwd line. If Ty departs I think tall fwd stocks has to be our first concern. Now I know talls take longer to develop so I'm happy to use 2nd round pick here on a KPF. Hurley is probably the best available, but is a better defender. Could we throw Astbury fwd?

What is your point???, Griffiths virtually was a second rounder!!

Griffiths certainly was nothing like our current expected first round pick!!

legit source or is it more something we are hoping for, for the lol's?
Got a north contact who is scrambling over the belief this is a strengthning possibilty; which he is not supporting but apparently their coach is

Vickery would do well at the Hawks.
I still think we should be keeping Vickery and trade Griffiths.
  1. Vickery kicks more goals.
  2. Is a better 2nd ruck
  3. Is less injury prone
  4. Is only 1 year older
  5. Vickery is a FA so can walk. Griffiths isnt a FA so we can potentially get a better deal.
  6. Vickery has been a tiger all his life
  7. Vickery has a bit of K-Hunt in him. (Karmichael Hunt that is mods :) ) Griff is scared of butterflies

I've heard good reports from the draft guru on SEN re Scrimshaw. Tall mid (193 cm) who has had injury issue's but big upside. Hate when player comparisons are made because they inevitably fall short but the comparison to the Bont was made by this dude (Anderson or Thompson ?.)

Glad to see the back of Vickery.
Griff can be frustrating but we need to keep him imo. Under a half decent game plan that encourages faster movement into the forwardline he could prove a real handful for opposition backs.

jack martin afl stats 13.5 prestia 23.6, how the hell is he miles in front.

Its not all about stats and Prestia in the guts has to get more ball unless he lets it hit him in the face!!!

Martin is still developing, its embarrassing to even compare the to, Maritn was a high pick because he is a class above
