So when are these father sons in the draft?
End of this year or end of next year?
Patrick Naish, Bailey Lambert and Josh Broderick are all next year, whilst Billy Lambert is this year.

Billy is currently playing for Brisbane Lions reserves

From the info that's out there atm it seems that Billy is not that good. Will be lucky to be drafted. Anyone have any further info?

was thinking earlier how it was once revealed that our recruiting strategy was to rank players in the AFL from 1-750. sounds like a plan.
so where do they reckon townso and Moore were placed, Im just an armchair boofhead, but im thinking 690-720. If that wasn't where they ranked them, they need to be sacked. if it was where they ranked them and we recruited them then they need to be sacked #nooseownneck

Remember he did not play aussie rules as a junior so he needs time and development if by the end of next year ( 3rd year as a rookie ).he has sho improvement yeah put him on list but way to early at the moment
He has learned plenty so far and has Uncle Ivan as a ready made mentor to help him to keep developing. Taking up a spot on the senior list isn't going to hurt and it allows us to play him as we want, rather than waiting to elevate him. We're losing, well likely to lose Maric and Hampson that effectively leaves us with no genuine ruckman as Vickery and Griffiths are the only other options. Vickery has shown he is afraid of contact in the ruck and Griffiths is better suited as a KPF and pinch hit relief ruck. Soldo on the other hand runs and jumps at opponents, takes a good contested grab around the ground and has pretty sound skills by foot and gets his hand on his fair share of hitouts. Little to lose by giving him a crack.

If we got Hurley via FA and Vickery left, would our compo cancel out? Or not, because Hurley wojld technically be DFA?
It shouldn't because there is no compo involved with DFA.

But because its Essendon no doubt it'll get way more complicated then that, especially because Hurley will have to be the one to terminate the contract.

Soldo would get smashed if we played him in the ruck in the seniors. .and his confidence would be shattered .ruck is a specialist position. You can't throw an inexperienced kid with no afl background.
