upon reflection, yesterday's result was probably the best result for the club moving forward. it's obvious change needs to happen across the board (coaching/list/development/board...) and the worst thing that could of happened would have been for us to win and a smug hardwick saying it proved how correct they were and would have glossed over the issues. a result like yesterday puts and exclamation point on the issues and hopefully forces change. If not, we'll be 2-8 after 10 next year and lamenting that nothing happened NOW.

Quite excited for this trade period, I get the feeling we will be quite active.

Bye the sounds of hardwicks presser i dont think we will be. "There's 17 other sides that will be going hard at it" So does that mean were just gonna go after more trash?
Stop your ruddy excuses bloke weve heard it all before. Were done before its even started bye re-signing grigg n houli. Whole footy club have no clue what so ever.

Sorry but I think Grigg was definitely worthy of a 1-year deal.
Has performed better than a majority of our list this year.
The only players who have been better than Grigg this season are Dusty, Rance and Cotchin.

Wouldn't mind throwing a rookie spot or late pick Jordan Harper.. I mentioned his name before on here and there wasn't too much interest.. has had an awesome year in the NEAFL and with players like Smith from Collingwood playing AFL footy maybe he is a chance..

Have seen him play in the NEAFL on NITV.. ( I know the level is poor) he just finds the ball..

Well it tells me that our first round draft picks such as Conca, Ellis and Vlastuin need to either be moved on as they have more currency than Grigg, or seriously remove their heads from their asses.
It's no wonder we are where we are.
Our first round picks have been nothing short of atrocious.
Vlastuin averages about 13 touches in a back pocket, he was pick number 9 FFS.
Conca has had injury problems but is still pretty useless for a pick 6.
Don't even get me started on Brandon Ellis.
Lennon can't get on the park and when he does, he can't get a kick, he looks slow and generally so far off the pace that it makes you wonder if he is ever going to make it at the level.
Too early to make a judgement call on Corey Ellis, I really don't know whether he will be a gun or a flop.
Rioli looks good early on in his career.
Your clubs success is built around your ability to pick players in the first round of the draft.
That should be your core group of gun players.
Unfortunately, ours are average.

Comes back to the footy department for making these fups. Dont worry theres more to come. Clubs a dead set rabble. More passengers than melb central. B. Ellis, conca, hunt, moore, townsend, mcbean, grigg, griff, vickery, houli, edwards, lids. all should be gone. Feel for lids but give him a shot at a flag elsewhere.

Oh ye of little faith! I'm actually feeling quite relieved and positive now that season is over.... Lots to do for the club but a new challenge brings renewed vigour.
Not little faith
NO ******* FAITH

Pretty fair and gloomy assessment.... The biggest disappointment for me is Flossy... He looked like he had the potential (there's that word again hehe) to be a top elite player yet he's being outclassed by the likes of hunt.

Vlastuin is just another foot soldier.
Does some good things from time to time but the reality is that I don't think he will ever become a match winner.
A player at pick 9 should be elite.
He's had a fair bit of time now to make the move into midfield but why the coaches persist with him in the back line is a mystery.
Is it a fitness thing? Who knows.
