I just don't see who we have to trade with any real currency apart from the big 5
Although we don't rate him, Brandon Ellis will attract a first round pick. Bank on it. Shane Edwards will also attract an early second, late first. He is better than Jake Melksham, so whatever he got, we need to ask for better.

Edwards is contracted so he'd have to agree. I'd take a first for Ellis and run.

I personally don't really want to trade Edwards as I think that when he is at his best, he is one of our best, but I can understand why his name is being thrown around.

And the word is 3 years, which is staggering, but good from a FA compensation point of view.
I feel like FA is either 1 year for an injured player with potential, or 3+ for the rest. Not many players bothering to move for a two year deal these days unless their club is pushing them out. Although hopefully we're doing that in this case.

Probably right. Ship em off if so. The only area we have decent kids in is their positions.

He's got some tricks but what I see with him is he tries to do something spectacular with each touch. He needs to be more reliable rather than flashy and then he will be a good player because no doubt he has ability and X factor.

Can't argue with that.

Edwards would be good at a club playing a fast game style, Hardwick has us playing the exact opposite so simply doesnt suit him and quite a few others to be honest.

When vickery lines up for his first game for hawks against us , has any body got a chainsaw, if the ******* campaigner kicks 7, , im going to ******* saw him in half.
That would require a far greater work ethic than Ty has ever even given glimpses of. Rance would be licking his lips at the thought of running off Ty all game long. Vickery would blow up in the first ten minutes if he was made to be defensibly accountable at the Hawks and had to actually chase someone out of defence.

*but yes I have a chainsaw and I'm willing to let you take him apart if the unthinkable happened!

I'm not sure how unrealistic it is. I can imagine him sitting isolated with a 1-one-1 contest in the forward 50 because the Hawks like to kick it forward towards goal and thriving.

I can also imagine B Ellis at his first training session at another club and being given a handball during a drill and being told by the coach to run and carry and kick long towards goal. it would blow his mind.

Yeah, I'd still back Rance in to keep that Potatoe under seven goals.
Key word you mentioned was "sitting", that just about sums up Ty's mobility.

Is Crozier not playing for Freo because;
a) He is injured
b) Form
c) Papers stamped and on his way to Richmond?

Great call. He was close to my fav player two years ago. Unfortunately he looks merely a shadow of that these days.

He's the perfect reason why we should make off field changes before we cull the list. Pick up someone like Knights or any decent stoppage/midfield coach and I'd back him in. If we don't and some club offers a late first, we should be all over it like white on rice.

Don't expect anything. We've already begun signing up the spuds on the list like Grigg. We'll sign up the remaining spuds and offer next years first for Prestia and once rejected will cough up pick 6 and head to the draft with Francis Jackson taking another punt on more outside players and ruck forwards. Players like Tom Mitchell and O'maera will move and we will probably for less than the pick 6 we traded out and we will all wonder why we hardly talked to any of these players.

Granted he probably won't kick 7 on the best defender in the comp but he'll be good for 35-40 goals, given he got 26 from 17 games with our rubbish delivery.
