Edwards needs to absolutely go on the table. 2nd rounder likely, maybe a late first rounder. Would definitely be talking to Gold Coast about him. They have picks and need players. We need picks.

By the way his body language was terrible against the Suns.

Adelaide teams would be the go as he is from there.

The team I'd want to send him to is GWS to cover the retirement of Stevie J. They have so many picks and players to trade, it's not funny.

Yeah he may well wish to go 'home' and this could be helpful for us. He has been disappointing in big games for us. He can do amazing things but can also become invisible when you need him most...

Another good performance on Saturday by Butler. That makes it an excellent last 7 rounds.

If you can't see him having a future, well let's just say then guys like C Ellis have no future either.
Butler has a future. He definitely has talent. I would not cut him from the list. Would give him a 1 year contract and see how he goes over summer

Why not give him longer if he has a bright future? It's not as though we are blessed with talent. His summer might be good but I'm more worried about how he goes between April and October....

He's been a bit ordinary this year (not by himself there) not sure what th crows would give up to get him, but their fwd line would b even more potent having sheds... With walker, lynch and Jenkins he'd have plenty to rove to, which imo is his strength as a player ( always goes boundary line side of a pack to take th defenders spoil)

Make him hungry no reason to give him a longer contract

Butler plays with the ferocity of a flea Weightman.nowhere near the class and ball winning skills , but I like his attack on the ball .
He's a keeper. I'm sick of soft cock newted little Tom cats on our list.

Is it normal for players to explicitly state the club they wish to join in their statements?
I'm pretty sure Dangerfield also said to a Victorian based club when he first advised of his intention to move. I'm sure I saw that somewhere.

I think the Frawley compo is a fair comparison, as far as the situation anyway. Both Vickery and Frawley leaving low ranked club to high ranked club and you would think Vickery would get similar coin to Frawley.

What coin would need to be offered to get us a band one compo?
600k at the time, but it may have changed.

Intersting. How are the AFL going to work out compo, when they are at a stale mate with the players re salary. If say 6p0k got a band one last year, then the wages go up this year, it must change the compo
Then again it is the AFL they will make it up on the run.
