Can't wait til trade week is over and I can spill some beans that'll leave a lot of people red faced
I knew it! You are secretly Brett Deledio!
The response.. the hostile one. Not necessary.
There's a lot on here who you wonder how they conduct themselves in life.
Not worried about it in the slightest but there's at least three posters on here who resort to name calling and insults on my posts.
You have to ask why?
We all have different opinions.
With all due respect GD didn't you want all new posters to have to go through a test on their opinions on certain issues pertaining to the RFC before they were able to post here?

Anyone think Lennon is a chance to stay? Recently uploaded a picture of him travelling with kmac, vlas and elton from an end of season trip to Facebook and seems good friends with these boys from everything I've seen in social media circles. It seems strange given his close friendships with these blokes that he'd want out. I understand he's got to look after his footballing future first and foremost but it still makes me wonder.

He's the most talented junior footballer I've ever played with or against, and that's not just a token comment given I played with Bontempelli for a number of years. I just can't believe how it's panned out since his AFL career started. He has been cruelled by injuries hip, knee, shoulder and concussion over the last 3 years and I've just been waiting for him to get a clear run at it but it's never come to fruition and now he looks gone. It's a big dissapointment because we will get back maybe pick 25-30 if we are lucky and he's worth so much more based on talent alone.

I know we keep going over and over the same players but I'm convinced this is the one we can't afford to lose. This is one that could come back to haunt us in years to come. He just needs to be locked into that high Half forward role for a sustained period and he'd thrive I'm sure.
I dont think he will stay .

Thanks Ben.

The highlighted part pretty much explains Ben Lemon - Consistently injured yet believes he didnt get a fair go
Doesn't chase or Defend and held the club to ransom last year giving the upper hand to the blues ( club he barracked for) to use against us last year.

Flog of the highest order, Good riddance

FWIW, Carlton don't rate him enough to give their second this year, which I kind of understand. Although, given he's contracted if we can't get a deal that benefits us we'll just keep him.

Vickery we'll get a second or end of second.
Conca we might get a 3rd or 4th if we're lucky.
Lennon we wouldn't trade for anything less than a pick in the 20's.

You've gotta laugh at posts like this. Do you really believe the club wants Deledio to go?

Here are some facts;
  • Deledio is in our top 5 players.
  • Deledio is contracted.
  • Deledio has repeatedly stated that he is happy at Richmond
  • The club have never mentioned, in a public forum that they are looking to trade Deledio, or any of our other big 5, for that matter.
  • Deledio has a young family
  • Deledio is very well paid at RFC.
  • Deledio has strong friendships at RFC
  • Deledio has to agree to any move. The club couldn't convince Astbury to go to Brisbane last year. How do they think they'll convince Deledio to go to GC!
So, from that one can deduce, Deledio, ain't goin' nowhere!!!
You're post lacks any educational sense.

My post clearly defines that IF Deledio agrees to go. So making your last point incredibly stupid to even place there.

The rest is what you believe will happen out of want. Many of your "points" could be reason to trade Deledio.

Why in responding to a poster who clearly has no idea about football is another issue.

Bye.

Yep - Just Prestia, or maybe losing just one of the top 5.
Nanakervis or someone - Is Soldo going to make it in in the next 2 years?
Conca, Vickery, Lennon for picks - Yes. That brings the total to 7 experienced players including Morris & probably Yarran not playing next year.

Probably use the picks to try to find some nasty committed gold like a Parker.
Probably use Free Agency to try to cover some of the loss of experience (but only Quality). Even Harvey sounds like a short term, example setter, training standard bargain at the moment.
Soldo is 20, 21 the start of next year, and never played the game before being selected. Rucks don't really have the bodies to compete at AFL until around 23. So if we're actually interested in him it'll be 2 more years at a minimum.

For comparison:
Naismith = 24
Nankervis = 22
Witts = 24
Lobb = 23

This is assuming we didn't just pick him up to throw extra coin at Maric.
