Out: Vickery, Deledio, Pick 6, 27, Future 2nd, 46
In: Prestia, Caddy, Nankervis, Future First Round (GWS), 24

If this is our result at the end of tomorrow, I will be happy that we had an active and aggressive trade period.

Regarding what we coughed up, I think I've made myself clear on my thoughts on giving pick 6 for Prestia. However, we finished 5th in 2015, and with this injection of quality plus natural progression of our youths and a bit of luck, who knows how 2017 will pan out.

I reckon I'm most excited about Nank the tank. Only 22 still, can see him replacing Hammer immediately. So much cleaner with ball in hand

More Average Supercoach points than Hampson per game too.
Hopefully he will be a younger version of Ivan when he came to Tiges.

Here's a doozy (shit, sorry) of a post from our favourite mod:

By the way even for those who are assuming the Richmond trading 24 for Caddy thing is true doesn't mean it means we won't get a first rounder.

For example:
GWS get Geel 2017 1st rnd from Carlton for Marchbank Pickett etc
GWS trade their 2017 1st rnd (pick 14-18) to Richmond for Deledio, Richmond pay a heap of his salary
GWS trade pick 15 to Geelong, Richmond trade pick 24 and pick 27 to GWS and get pick 37 back. Geelong trade Caddy and pick 42 and 56 to GWS for 15 51 and 60.
GWS actually get an extra 147 points over 15 which is all they care about as 15 is just points for bids anyway, Richmond get their precious arguing point of a first rounder and Geelong get a first rounder and give up a minimal downgrade that they probably don't care about anyway.
If there was to be any sort of deal I suspect this is similar to what it would look like. Although judging by Wells comments today I doubt there will be a deal at all the club seems pretty happy to keep Josh.
I literally can't even.

I think amongst all the angst of the deliberation of what we were going to give up for Prestia, we have actually forgotten how good he actually is.
Highlights package:

We don't have many mids who kick goals from outside 50.
Wins contested ball too. Gonna be a great pick up if he gets over his injuries

Just to cap off the night, as a result of finishing bottom 6 we get the bonus of the following:

Maximum 1 return game against a top 6 side, GWS Dogs Hawks Swans Crows & Cats

Maximum 2 Return games against middle 6 sides being Collingwood Melbourne Saints Roos Port & Eagles

2 or 3 games against Essendon Lions Fremantle Carlton & Gold Coast

Would love to get Carlton Collingwood Essendon Melbourne & GWS as our double ups. Imagine round 2 against GWS as our first home game also being Deledios home coming.
