Here's a doozy (shit, sorry) of a post from our favourite mod:

I literally can't even.
Being an expert on these kinds of trades I can confirm this poster has NFI.

He alludes to the fact that even if all we give for Caddy is pick 24 it doesn't mean that Geelong don't get a first round pick. He then contradicts himself by suggesting we will give GWS pick 24 and 27 to ensure they send pick 15 to Geelong.

Then he goes into something that involves their picks getting downgraded so GWS get some points.

Anyways I can solve his little problem without it actually costing us 2 second round picks

We trade Geelong pick 24 for Caddy
Geelong trade GWS pick 24 + 42 for Pick 15 this gives GWS a net gain of 68 points.

Geelong also cover off one of their two required firsts (unless they have to be next year).

You're getting confused sweetie.
GWS rate him at #15, not you. You are not GWS.
Maybe you rated him at #30, therefor you would be getting more than the last offer.
To be honest I can't see how a 31 year old with injury problems is worth 15 (Lewis deal is about right).

Just no point in trading Caddy for picks.

It's pretty simple guys.

You lot wanted Caddy as a straight swap for Lids - we said no as we think Caddy carries more value.

It's now looking likely that he will go to GWS for pick 15.

Why would we then trade him for pick 24 if we think he carries more value than someone who went for 15?

Not to mention that Selwood said "he will be at Geelong in "2017".
because we paid maybe $800,000 for that pick? Its not about players value this trade. I know its hard to take. Just go to bed .

I can see from the perspective of other clubs that he might not be, but we don't want draft picks, we want to keep our quality players.
It will be so delicious tomorrow when you guys relent and accept pick 27, with us having refused to give you 24

Richmond fans, I will ask you this.

Why would a club going all out for a flag next year want to trade their third/fourth best midfielder for an 18 year old who probably won't play a game next season?
