If we're going to win a flag it's got to be next year before the GWS Juggernaught goes into full swing.

Caddy is an elite midfielder (According to Champion Data) and obviously losing him for a crap pick is not what we need to win a flag.
Mate you're kidding yourself if you think you'll win a flag next year....

It's pretty simple guys.

You lot wanted Caddy as a straight swap for Lids - we said no as we think Caddy carries more value.

It's now looking likely that he will go to GWS for pick 15.

Why would we then trade him for pick 24 if we think he carries more value than someone who went for 15?

Not to mention that Selwood said "he will be at Geelong in "2017".
Because you lot got it wrong?

Richmond fans, I will ask you this.

Why would a club going all out for a flag next year want to trade their third/fourth best midfielder for an 18 year old who probably won't play a game next season?
We don't think you want to but its being reported you have cap problems due to motlop not moving, hence you couldn't afford Deledio (In fact i'm sure Wells said this). To alleviate that you could be forced to trade/lose someone you don't want, like plenty of other clubs over the years.

Why would a team going for a flag get rid off a highly skilled forward capable of kicking over 40 goals a year??

I need some sleep.

Just weighing up whether to jack it to the Geelong trade thread or the bouncing tits in this thread
Geelong thread for sure, it's glorious.

You should have gone for Deledio then.

Far more likely to get you a flag than Caddy.

As fun as this Cats and Tigers banter is, it has nothing on the banter we had with Carlton fans last year.

Ahh the memories of it all.

Will the Tiges cave and overpay or stick to their guns. At the time we thought we won, but Blues still seem to have the last laugh as Yarran is no ceertainty to put on a Richmond jumper.

I don't think we will.

But players like Danger only come around once in a generation and we may as well try and throw away our future for a shot at a flag.
Dangerfields should have taken a pay cut to fit in Delids into the cap but he is a me me me isnt he

Idk
Why would said club pass on Lids but trade in 2e??
Who's to say Cats are thrilled with it? I think Caddy was put out with talk of trading him off, has since thought it through and wants more midfield time with his BBF Prestia. Cats see writing on wall. Trade what they can get

Yet you were trying to offload Motlop.....

Tell you what, we'll give you 24 instead of 27 and you can throw in Motlop.... Really just to help out.

Mate.

Enright -$500k
Bartel -$400k
Smedts - $300k
Vardy - $300k
Kersten (will get done tomorrow) -$300k
Caddy - $400k

That's 2.2 million dollars out conservatively. CAP SPACE IS NOT AN ISSUE.

2E is three years younger and we got him for next to nothing.

If that is such a big factor why didn't he stay with the Suns in the first place?
wasting your breath buddy, he was just joking with you. Most of us are because as good as Caddy might be ( seriously, no one outside of cats new him until a week ago) as good as he might be we couldnt really give a **** if he does or not. Itd just funny watching you play poker with five dollars left lol
