That isn't true at all. Geelong don't want to trade Caddy. You've chased him. If Geelong were prepared to trade Caddy, it would be done.
Caddy gone. Why would our club come out and say watch this space if there was no chance lol.
Brace yourselves.

Be interesting if the roles are reversed next year if Dusty is still out of contract.
Are you seriously comparing Dusty with Prestia ? If Prestia is worth 6 out of contract Dusty would be worth two top ten picks.

Anyway, if you get your player go out of contract you deserve what you get.

We got stiffed.

Because you think Geelong will fold and give up Caddy for Deledio.
Geelong not in the picture anymore according to Dan Richardson. Deledio flew up to GWS today. They will get it done because pick 15 for them is the equivalent of pick 80 for everyone else.

To my way of thinking the 'brains trust' reckon we have a genuinely good squad, but one that is unbalanced. We need inside grunt because 1) we have very little and just need more contested ball, and 2) this will free up Cotch and Dusty (to some extent). So we get Dion and go for Caddy. Hope Conca stays fit, and if Yaz/Short/Markov/McIntosh can play back then we free up Vlas as well. = contested depth.

3 talls hasn't worked, and TV was mentally out in 2015. So losing him for a second rounder means we don't lose much as we still have 2 KPFs, and he added nothing much. Pity. This either gets us a decent pick in a deep draft (top 30) or gets us Caddy. So win.

Nankervis could work well if he can play in a tag team with Hammer. What I understand is that Nanks is not a tap ruckman really, but good around the ground and adds grunt. Once again adding grunt and depth.

So, if Yaz comes back and the young speedsters come on then we have that run and carry we've been so lacking for years.

Our trading and development freeing players up, should mean we have genuine depth and quality inside.

Ruck depth improved and perhaps more smash and hammer grunt.

Introduce an attacking game plan re the VFL team and we might see a totally changed Tiger team next year. For once we might have a good spine, with depth and a nice balance of talent inside and outside.

A big gamble that if this is all correct (my thought above) then we can have a shot at the whole deal.

That we don't seem bothered about losing Lids either means we reckon he is on the slide, he is a disruptive influence, or we're idiots. Take your pick.
Still one quality KPD short.

And Cats fans expected Richmond roll over and cave, accepting unders for Deledio or "risk losing him for nothing next season"
