I don't know what the final trade for JOM was, but you can't say this trade period was anything but a huge win!
POSITIVES
- Got Hanley for a couple of 2nds when Lions wanted one of our top 10 picks.
- Got Lyons for chips who will be straight into the best 22
- Got Witts for essentially a free hit who at the worst will provide depth for Nicholls and Currie
- picks 4,6,8 and 10 will land us 4 highly rated youngsters
- Got Hawthorn to essentially leave the draft for the next 2 years while giving up Mitchell and Lewis. (Don't worry though, they will say its a huge win because it wasn't 2 firsts even though they have given up way more than that. Get ready for the Cochrane hate. OBSESSED)

NEGATIVES
- No idea how we are going to land Scheer unless pick 10??? or we go into defecit next year.
- We don't rate Williams high enough, or we think he will slide through to the rookie draft because we have neither the picks nor the list spot to get him in.
- Prestia is officially gone :(
- Will have to delist Cameron/Brooksby and potentially pay out/rookie Shaw/Matera

Bullshit - we are using 10 on a gun and picking up Scheer for late picks

Need to delist Brooksby, Grant, Schade, Cameron (re-rookie) and see if Mal wants to retire and start coaching

What late picks?

What will happen is we will go in to deficit for next year with Scheer but we stocked up on second rounders for next year so it'll be fine.

So we can use that pick 75(ish) for Brad, and then take the hit on points for next season?

Not sure what the future 2nd is from the Hawks.

GWS had the Saints, Pies, and GWS 2017 2nd rounders.
One of those went to the Blues and then to the Hawks and then to us. Suspect it will be one of the Pies and Saints picks.

Another positive, with the amount of 2nds we have next year we can go established player shopping.

Wouldn't have they said the Suns get Saints 2017 second pick not Hawthorn's 2017 second pick

Think we need 5 open list spots to go to the draft.

4, 6, 8, 10, Scheer.
Even a Bowes bid at 1 would leave us 4 picks before a Scheer bid is likely.

So really hoping that we match Scheer with future points. Not much point having an academy otherwise.

The more delistings we have the more picks we get I'm pretty sure. So if 1-2 guys go points might be okay if Scheer is a late 20s pick

So apparently we can use pick 73 on Brad Scheer when someone bids for him. However pick 73 is only worth 9 points.

So if for example, Scheer gets bid on at pick 20, which is worth 912 points, we use the pick 73's 9 points and make them up next year with points taken from future picks.

Can anyone confirm this?

Actually prefer the bones of the St Kilda deal.
Hawks future 1st, 23 and 36 for pick 10.
If the Hawks threw in 48 as well, better than 10 and future 2nd.

We absolutely killed it this year. Lyons and Hanley are guns and we'll get in four top 10 picks! Jaeger and Prestia were injured most of the time anyway, so it's hard to feel like we lost them.

We're set up for a huge trade and draft period for 2017 with all those 2nd round picks, too.

Terry Wallace gave us a poor score for this trade period. What a pencil.
