Mate just what ive heard in the last 24hrs. Motlop is over geelong. He might have a mexican joint openning on ryrie street but he is over his form slump and being played out of positon. Geelong want McDonald bad dont know why! Melbourne want Hibbo tick. So just joined the logical dots. Apparently we have been up into Crouch for a few weeks now. Oh and geelong want to trade Motlop whilst he has currency. He wont resign and still has one year left.
Seems rather elaborate.. Not sure why we need McDonald to be honest ..he would appeal more to Swans id have thought.
And Motlop still has another year to go on contract , he doesn't need to sign

Motlop doesn't equal mcDonald.. if he he wants out Id rather trade him him one of the northern mids returning.

Logical dots? Melbourne get royally shafted in your little trade.

McDonald will re-sign and if Hibberd wants to come to Melbourne then he'll come for our second round pick.
Obviously some picks get swapped around but my guess you will still get shafted. I dont think its far off though and teams love swaping players instead of draft picks and AFLPA pushes it as a preferred option. Interesting post on fb by hibbos dad. Not a bad way to work some angles rebalance the situation.

Paparorne could easily play midfield too in the NEAFL I think you're seriously over rating him because of he's NEAFL games better the Devil you know than the one you don't
I'm probably a bit biased here as I really wanted us to pick him up (instead of Billy Longer) in the 2011 draft. Feel that he could add a lot (big bodied player 193cm/95kg) to our list. Currently in the GWS team (relatively quiet last week, 13 poss) - interesting to see how he goes over the next week or two.

Fremantle will, rightly, laugh at that suggestion.
True
My thought is that Freo desperately need McCarthy and McCarthy wants to play for FREM. Frem may need to pay overs to get a forward they have been striving for for a number of years.
Without a 2nd round pick, Frem will either need to use pick 3 OR trade out 1 or 2 players.
Another option could be TRADE pick 3 to GWS for McCarthy & 17

We won't get shafted because McDonald won't go anywhere especially with a shit deal like that, also the AFLPA is irrelevant in this.

BL/GC/GWS/FREM
- Trade picks 2 & 20 (3429 pts) to GC for picks 5 & 8 (3429 pts)
- Trade Taylor & 56 to Geel for Picks 33 & 38
on-trade picks 5, 27 & 38 (3046 pts) to GWS for picks 7 & 17 (2669 pts) and Tomlinson
Then GWS trade McCarthy & pick 27 to FREM for pick 3.

RICH/GC
- Trade picks 6 & 42 to GC for Prestia and pick 24

HAW/SYD
- Trade pick 18 to SYD for T. Mitchell

HAW/ESS/FREM/GC
- FREM trade Mayne to ESS (pick 19)
- FREM on-trade pick 19 to HAW for B.Hill
- HAW on-trade pick 19 and player (ie Hartung) to GC for O'Meara
Those bolded are the LOL moments. Mayne is worth a mid 2nd rounder-late 2nd rounder.
If Hill and our 1st doesn't add up to pick 3 then pick 27 and McCarthy certainly doesn't.
That Would be a massive steal for Richmond. Get rid of the pick 24 and it's much fairer.
18 is not enough for Mitchell. Though i'd rather Prestia at Hawthorn than Mitchell. Mitchell can't kick

Can I safely say that there isn't a single Essendon supporter on earth who would be excited at the prospect of Chris Mayne playing for us?

Average, 27 and probably wants $300,000 a year or more. No no no.

Trade 1
Adeliade:
Josh Green
Brisbane: Cam Ellis Yolmen

Trade 2
Geelong:
Lewis Taylor, 2017 4th Round Pick
Brisbane: Pick 33, 38

Trade 3 - Three-way trade
St Kilda:
Caleb Marchbank, Jack Steele
Brisbane: Pick 8-10 (St Kilda), Pick 7, 15, 17, 53 (GWS)
GWS: Pick 2, 20, 28, 2017 3rd Round Pick (Brisbane), 33, 38 (Geelong - Lewis Taylor)
Whats a 4th round pick from Brisbane worth.. p56 or so ? Not really much in that.

Reportedly is being offered 500K a year. deserves to be paid 500K over 2 years.
Please take him...so we don't..
Unfortunately if there was 2 teams that would pay him 500K. Its North and Tiges. Just hope Richmond get to him first!!

We have Mumford, Simpson, lobb, downie, Flynn as recognised rucks with many others that can pinch hit. Why would we want witts, a lumbering, slow, dinosaur of a ruck.
true, i dont know why anyone would want Witts, unless they are desperate!
tbh i dont think Brisbane need him either, Smith showed in his first game that he will be a better, more athletic ruck than Witts, who the Lions will have for the next 10 years. Getting Witts would hinder his development.

Richmond, if they were desperate, would get him.

also, FWIW, i reckon Richmond or another club who need a ruck, should go after Downie.

Both are terrible and would prove that the club has no ambition to succeed.
Yet you've recruited
Howe
Crisp
Greenwood
Varcoe
White
Aish

None of these player are gonna lift you up to the required level to win a premiership.
Yes. These guys are best 22 but they won't lift you to those next few levels. Collingwood need quality to join Sidebottom, Pendlebury etc.
